The table itself is nice, has a very nice black finish and looks good.

This table was partially damaged when I received it (one of the corners was kinda smashed) and it was missing a piece to install the self.

Furniture is something that you like to see in real life before buying, but this table is simple enough to see online.

First off, in the store, this is only $19.99 so go there! I love this table. Not only are they cheap, but they are extremely light and expensive looking. I also have the matching end tables. I love how fancy they look and when people ask me where I got it, I proudly say ikea and tell them the price. They never believe me! I own this in the black-brown color. The black-brown is mostly black, but if you shine the light on it, you can see the 'wood-grain'. I love how I can easily move it also. Being a college apartment, I'm going to be moving a lot. This is extremely easy to assemble/ dissemble, just twist off the legs! I posted a picture so you can see the size. I love how it has a tray at the bottom for storage. I definitely recommend this for anyone on a tight budget looking for a modern look!

I love my Lack, and the Lack coffee table that I just bought is such a hit that my boyfriend is now going to buy one for his "man cave." Very easy to assemble, though a little more complex than a LACK side table, as there is some actual screw hole measuring involved. It is simple, but very functional and attractive.

Note to buyers though: this item is $20 in stores! That's where we bought our first and will buy our next. We are lucky to live near a location, but if you aren't able to get in, not a bad deal here!

I have this table. Its only $20 bucks at IKEA. and it comes with dice thingy to tell you where the screws go. it easy to put together. but not worth $50-$60 in my book.

this coffee table will get the job done in terms of serving as a nice piece, but it lacks in terms of stability... after a while, this product will get a little shaky and unstable and is incapable of supporting any significant weight. If you're looking for a table to put your feet up on and move around occasionally, I'd recommend looking elsewhere... unless you're on a budget

I use my LACK coffee table as a nightstand next to my bed - its a great size for my alarm clock, books, magazines, wallet, etc. It is very quick and easy to put together, probably one of IKEA's easiest next to the LACK side table.

The only downside I've noticed is that the top does show scratches a bit. Not a big issue, but if you're concerned about aesthetics and plan on giving the table a lot of use as a coffee table, then maybe this isn't for you. Its made of the typical particleboard and veneer, so any major nicks or damage would be tough to hide. Also, don't plan on dancing on top of the table or putting heavy weights on the lower shelf - it won't stand up to serious abuse. Maybe this is a unique problem, but I occasionally step on my coffee tables (using it as a mini stool/ladder or just while getting off the couch w/o having others to move their feet) and I'm fairly sure this table would break, though I haven't tried it. So in short, great as a nightstand or light use coffee table, not good for a heavily used coffee table.

Also, this exact same table is $20 at IKEA! Save your money and get it there if you can. Their website lists two other LACK coffee tables, a square one at $30 and a longer rectangular one for $40. Initially I thought that the Amazon listing must have been the more expensive one, but its not - its the smaller rectangular one listed for $20 on the IKEA website.

It's a lightweight table that seems to be easily damaged during shipping, but otherwise I don't have any complaints. It was easy to put together. The table itself is nice, has a very nice black finish and looks good. It's sturdy and works great as a basic coffee table.

The Lack series are very usable pieces of furniture. They aren't heirloom pieces and the finish isn't the highest end, but they are light weight and solid--things that can't typically be said about particle board furniture. They're also easy to put together! For the price they're absolutely fantastic.

Except for the bottom shelf on this thing.

Before you add the bottom shelf, you're probably going to be pleased with this piece of furniture, aside from the want of a shelf below. When you go to add it, though, the first thing you'll notice is that the thin bottom shelf is significantly heavier than the rest of the assembly put together. The holes in the legs for mounting the bottom shelf are not pre-drilled. You have to punch them yourself using the included guide, so you'll need a hammer. If you're used to Ikea instructions being accurate, well, prepare for a surprise: If you follow the instructions and don't use the guide to start threading that screw then you're going to end up having it sink into the particle board at an angle, which is a problem since you want the bracket to attach securely and not crush the laminate.

And when you're done, that bottom shelf will sag under its own weight. I figured it was heavy due to being constructed to be strong despite being thin, but I was wrong. An average person can sit on top of the coffee table without breaking anything, but I wouldn't put anything heavier than a paperback in the middle of the bottom shelf.

Everything I've purchased from Ikea has ranged from "really good for the price" to "excellent". This table is no exception... except for the bottom shelf.
