This is the textured paper you want for prints 8x10 or larger. Glossy paper may be great for 4x6 prints because you can hold them so that reflections from viewing light sources is not a problem. However, 8x10 glossy prints when hand held are harder to adjust to avoid glare. When mounted under glass, glossy prints can show reflections from both the glass and the glossy paper thereby doubling the reflection problem. Textured papers lose a bit of the snap of glossy papers, however when displayed under glass, must of that lost snap comes back and the double reflection problem is gone.

I've used this paper with Media Street ink and a Canon i9900 (compare to the Canon S9000) for five years. The coating on the paper absorbs and encapsulates the ink helping to increase the lifetime of dye inks. Prints made on resin coated papers are subject to color shifts over the first few hours or day. Wait a day before making decisions about color adjustments based on the print. Trust your color calibrated workflow to make the print, and resist the impulse to tweak the color based on a print fresh out of the printer.

This paper should not be used with pigment links. Consider the Smooth Pearl paper instead. Prints made with dye inks should be displayed under glass or stored in the dark. By the same token, dye-based inks should not be used with micro-encapsulated papers like the Ilford Smooth paper because they can lead to out-gas and ozone fading.

This is one of the finest professional photo papers on the market. Amazon's price makes it even more attractive. I have a Canon S9000 wide format photo quality printer that works perfectly with this product. Produces prints indistinguishable from professional photo labs. If you have a Canon printer you owe it to yourself to try this paper.
