I've spent a good portion of my life in photography and related fields. i appreciate Ilford Galerie paper for delivering a high quality print from an inkjet printer comparable to color prints made by traditional methods and with relative ease and moderate expense.

A photographer for over 20 years, I have seen the full transition from darkroom to computer room, and the right paper has ALWAYS been crucial to a quality finished product. In my opinion, this paper, particularly in the smooth pearl finish, is a near perfect replication of the RC paper format of old. If you are new to digital imaging and printing, I promise you will be thrilled with the results you get on this paper.

I love this paper. It give such a professional look that many people don't even know it came from my ink jet printer. Often times, it looks better than a professionally printed photo from a lab. Ilford delivers great inkjet products!

I have always been pleased with the product and have used it for about 8 years now so the comments are just related to the quick and efficent way that they delived them to me.

I've been buying Epson and Staples brand photo paper, matte and glossy. None of the local stores carried a semi-gloss, lustre type paper. I had heard mention of the Ilford paper and found it here at Amazon. I will never go back to buying the other paper again. The price and quality of the paper is great. The color rendering from my Epson Stylus 1400 on the Ilford paper is nicer than on the matte or glossy Epson. I'm 100% sold on this product.

The purchase I recently made of the Ilford Semi-gloss Smooth Pearl paper was a great deal. It was really a good deal purchasing the paper online and not driving 2 hours to purchase the same product, taking the time and money for gas I really came out on top.

I bought this paper because it said it was compatible with HP inkjet printers. IT'S NOT! The black ink never dries to the paper and smears everywhere. I emailed the company about this problem and this is the response I got:

"We believe to know the reason although we don't own a 1610 printer to prove.
Your printer has dye based Vivera inks for Cyan, Magenta and Yellow and pigmented ink for Black. Our inkjet media you have is still the previous version of the Smooth Pearl Product which didn't perform well with the Vivera pigmented inks (in your case the Black). We launched this summer a new improved Smooth Pearl Paper that is now also compatible to the Vivera pigmented inks. Thus we propose that you switch to the new version IGSPP11."

They didn't even give me a coupon for the new paper...I doubt it even works. WASTE OF MONEY!
