"I love Vicky Savage's Transcenders trilogy so much, and I'm a little sad it's over. There's nothing I like more than a good ending, though, and Illuminosity is definitely a good ending."~Elizabeth Corrigan, author Earthbound Angels series.

About the Author

Vicky Savage grew up gazing upon the beauty of the Wasatch Mountain Range right outside her family's kitchen window. She thought the Rocky Mountains would always own her heart until she moved to sunny Florida for law school and instantly fell in love with the ocean. Her passion for new adventures and experiencing exotic locales led her on a circuitous path to writing science fiction/fantasy about strange new worlds and parallel universes. Although she has lived in seven different states and London, England, the siren call of the ocean always brings her back to her beloved Florida, where she currently lives with her husband, son, and two dogs.

I loved this book. After reading the first two in the trilogy, I was anxiously waiting for Illuminosity to find out the end to Jaden's story. Vicky Savage's writing never ceases to amaze me with her surprising plot twists, vivid imagery, and superb character development. Even though the book was longer than the previous installments, it was very fast paced, so you didn't realize it. It didn't end exactly the way I was hoping for originally, but I actually liked her ending better. :) Amazing book in an amazing trilogy! I definitely recommend it.

I received the book from the author for an honest review.

This is book 3 in the Transcender Trilogy, and a very long awaited conclusion to the trilogy. The story starts where book 2 ended, and since it had been awhile that I have read the first two books, it took me a few pages to get in the plot again. The author did a splendid work continuing the tale as you became part of Jaden and her life in an alternative world. With so many twists in the story the author draws you in quickly so that you feel part of it; experiencing all the turmoil, the happiness and loneliness with the main character.
Through each scene you could really connect with Jaden, her life and her friends. Some of the supporting characters became more prominent within this book; with Narowyn's character that became not only a supporter but a true friend to Jaden during her adventures.
I liked Asher's role as well, the way they handled the new twists; the whole set up really kept my interest, wondering what the outcome would be.
Ryder's role, although more subtle, really had me wondering at times. The grieve and turmoil, but also the love that he felt for her, was really remarkable. And, may I add, I really loved this character. He was just the perfect hero for the role.

And just as with the previous books in the series, I was not disappointed. A great book, and wonderful series I can recommend to all readers. Written with relaxed ease, so that the reader could enjoy the whole story.

I read the first book and loved it. The second book was even better and the third better yet. Kept me interested and ready for more. Sorry there isn't another book to look forward to.

I have been waiting for this book for at least two years and had high expectations from the last two books. But they were surpassed with this book. The ending was definitely not what I had suspected but I felt it wrapped up the story better than what I had imagined. Absolutely love love love this book and I will probably reread it over and over again since the trilogy is over because I can't get enough!

I love Vicky Savage's Transcenders trilogy so much, and I'm a little sad it's over. There's nothing I like more than a good ending, though, and Illuminosity is definitely a good ending.

At the end of Streaming Stars, Jaden finds out that horrible things are going to befall everyone she loves, and I expected Illuminosity to be spent fixing things in Domerica and giving her a happily ever after. But we establish in chapter 1 via Ralston's future-predictor device that there is no way for that to happen. Instead, Jaden spends the first part of the book preparing to guarantee everyone else's safety by leaving them behind.

And so, the first quarter of the book goes by smoothly. Perhaps even a liiiiiiittle too smoothly. Jaden was so much surrounded by people she could trust completely that I spent some time expecting one of them to turn out to be evil. But, really, during all Jaden's good-by saying, I really felt for her. Tears even came to my eyes a few times. But mostly everything was smooth until BAM! I was hit by a plot twist I completely did not expect, and it shaped the course of the rest of the novel.

The rest of the story was beautiful and interesting, with Jaden learning about her new world. The world---or worlds, really---were so interesting that I found myself hoping to see more books set in the Transcender universe, just so I could see more of it. I might have spent a tad more time than was necessary hoping Team Urick would become a viable option (What? He was awesome. He had me at "face of an angel." We're ignoring the one sexist scene), but overall I was rooting for Jaden on her quest to become a Transcender and bring down the evil acronym.

Go. Read the trilogy. You know you want to. You won't regret it.

Incredible ending to a fantastic trilogy. Always hesitant to get involved in reading a series because they often fizzle out by the time the last book comes around. Not this time!! This author keeps the momentum going strong! The 3rd book was even better than the first 2. Unbelievable twists, turns and surprises. Keeps the reader guessing until the very end. Loved everything about this trilogy and am sad that it's over. I only hope Ms. Savage will hurry and write another book. I am a true fan.

*Happy but emotionally spent sigh* This is a stunning ending to the trilogy. While several books have made me cry, few put a constant lump in my throat and knot in my stomach throughout (and I mean that in the best way). My heart broke over and over for Jaden in this, and I can't even begin to say how utterly real and moving the emotions are. I thought Jaden faced a lot in the second book, but this brings whole new levels of challenges to her life. But even in all the despair and heartache going on, there is so much hope and fight surrounding it.

The way everything unfolds is breathtaking. It's the longest novel of the three, and it uses every page to its best advantage. Just like the other two, it had me consumed from the beginning. While the ending was certainly not what I expected from the first book, I now couldn't have seen it ending any other way. It felt so right and just rang perfectly true to the story and the characters. Vicky Savage has written a trilogy that just takes your heart by the end. I feel like the best books leave me with a little different perspective when I finally look up from the last page, and Illuminosity has done that. I'm now taking a comfortable spot on the edge of my seat to wait for her next work."
