5.0 out of 5 stars Carnival of Gorgeous songs! January 4, 2007
Format:Audio CD
Rachael writes, sings, and performs a ballad like no one else. Illusion's Carnival is a wonderful addition to her catalogue of story songs. If you like moving, hooky, classic songs - you'll adore this CD.

3.0 out of 5 stars Starts off strong, but fads a bit June 17, 2002
Format:Audio CD
First, before I say anything else, I do like this CD. The first two tracks are excellent and were the reason I purchased this CD. The problem for me is that *some* of the other songs are bit too repeatative and a bit lacking it terms of lyrics. I've heard she has toured with Ani DiFranco and her influnce is clear. If your a fan of Ani DiFranco this might be an interesting purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Rachael Sage album yet! June 25, 2002
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
If you're a fan of Rachael's other work, this CD won't dissapoint. Rachael's sound continues to evolve, from the rollicking energy of "Trouble" to the restrained joy of "Look" to the melancholy of "Angel" and the groove feeling of "My Precious Love." The most common comparisons to Rachael's sound are Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos and Kate Bush.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of her absolute best... August 29, 2004
By Matt.
Format:Audio CD
"Illusion's Carnival" is Rachael's stunning fourth album. It is a marvelous collection of songs that range from heart-breaking to thought-provoking. Highlights include "Camera," "Unbeauty," and "Angel," which was written about my favorite television show, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and the main character's passion for the ensouled vampire Angel.
