I tried many espresso machines with varying results but this one was the best as far as I am concerned.

Firstly, it uses ILLY ESE pods available as Dark, Medium and Decaf. I usually go for dark but keep a few boxed of medium for guests. The espresso is beatiful with a lovely crema every time - just impossible to make a bad espresso.
Very easy to keep clean as the grinds are in a filtered pod.
Secondly, it looks awesome without being overbearingly garish or over-designed.

So happy - I bought a second one just in case!

I purchased this item through Amazon.com, as I had some gift certs, needed a new espresso machine, and I had owned a previous Francis Francis.

However, this particular machine arrived in used packaging, with fragmented styrofoam and old newsprint scattered randomly throughout the box. The machine itself looked as though it had been thrown into the box with a pile of "stuffing" - used styrofoam and "peanuts". Unpacking the machine created a huge mess in my kitchen.

There was no instruction manual, nor any of the accessories - such as a larger holder for ground espresso - that came with my first FF machine.

To top it off, the machine was not even usable as it was missing the on/off switches for coffee and steam.

I am only giving this product one star because a rating is required in order to publish this review, but this particular product really deserves a zero.

This machine is being returned asap.
