Product Description

Imperial Blades 3MMT340 - 1 3/4 Inch Bi-Metal STORM Titanium Universal Oscillating Blades. This three pack of Titanium coated Bi-Metal blades in our line of premium blades is designed for wood, metal and PVC. Our highest quality Titanium coated high speed steel blade is specifically designed for various applications. Popular uses for this blade: Cutting through nail-laden wood, deck screws, sheet metal, etc. 18 TPI (Teeth per inch). Blade dimensions: 1 3/4 inch wide x 2 1/8 inch plunge depth. 3 Pack

From the Manufacturer

The Imperial Blade 1-3/4 inch titanium coated bi metal saw blade has 18 teeth per inch, is 1-3/4 inches wide, and has a 2 inch plunge cutting depth. The Universal Bi Metal saw blade is made with the industry's highest quality high speed steel material. This blade is the same configuration as the familiar Fein 152 E-cut Bi-Metal blade. The difference is our 340 blade is coated with titanium. How does this make the blades better? The titanium coating increases the Rockwell hardness of the blade from around 62, to about 85. What does this do for the blade? This means that the blade will not smoke easily, and it will not burn up quickly. Ultimately increasing the longevity of the blade. The 340 titanium is the same hardness as a carbide tipped blade, simply making it more durable. Ultimately, this blade is the only blade of its kind. It increases the level of quality by about [5] times, based on our testing that was duplicated [3] times for accuracy. The arbor on this blade is universal and compatible with Fein Multimaster Tools, Dremel Multi-Max Tools, Bosch Multi-X Tools, Chicago Multi-Tool, Craftsman Multi Tool, Harbor Freight Multi-Tool, Milwaukee Tool, Ridged Multi-Tool, and Craftsman Multi-Tool. This model includes 3 blades.

Customer Reviews

Lasts a long time.

The Imperial titanium blade stayed sharper longer and cut at least twice as fast as the other three blades.

These are excellent blades for metal cutting. we use them in remodeling (e.g., to cut strapping, galvanized metal, and nails that protrude from sub floors having missed the joists.) Just for S&Gs, we compared the Imperial 3MMT340 with the Versa MB3B (3 for $15), the Oshun MMA-0103 (3 for $15), and the Bosch OEM metal cutting blade that came with my Bosch oscillating tool. We started with new blades and reasonably low speed setting. We then proceeded to cut off the ends of a hundred or so 8p nails. We probably cut 25-30 nails with each blade. The Imperial titanium blade stayed sharper longer and cut at least twice as fast as the other three blades. No question about it, this imperial is a much better blade. Here's the rub: The Imperial 3MMT340 is three times as expensive. So, while I'm comfortable in reporting that it's a better blade both in terms of speed of cut and longevity, I'm not sure I can claim that it's a better value.

In any case, the time savings alone makes this a useful addition to my blade collection. I'm satisfied for that reason alone. Recommended.

I hope this helps in your comparisons.

These blades hold up much better than the Fein meta/wood blades on harden screws. Cut 6 harden steel screws and the blade does not appear to be used at all. I would have used 2 or 3 Fein blades to do the same job.

These blades fit the Fein Multimaster, an awesome multipurpose tool. Should fit other models, although I suggest checking Imperial Blades' website before ordering, as the selection is large. The quality is apparent from the feel and heft of the blades, and they cut a variety of material easily. I ran across some finish nails in trim and they had no problem with them, although I would certainly not use the blade for heavier nails in wood (break out the Sawsall for those beasts!). The price is good, certainly less expensive than the Fein blades, although more expensive than the Asian imports found at the big box stores, but in this case you get what you pay for. I find the Festool, Imperial, and Bosch to be comparable in quality, and worth the additional cost. Definitely recommended and USA made. Changed review due to calling Multi master a Festool and not a Fein -- do I have green Koolaid lust on my mind or what? Still a great item for the Fein.

This does what all those other blades can not do. It does it fast and stays sharp too. You can actually cut wood and not smoke up the whole place with it too...it might be Bi-metal but it cuts wood better than all the wood blades I have used so far.

These blades do what they say as far as cutting through metal. I would not use it on a plaster wall. It rips the teeth right off

I've been using Imperial blades for several years, on a cheap Chicago Multi-tool. The blades make all the difference. While I have been able to "melt" (grind the teeth down) on a few Imperials, they do get the job done. Went through the original (cheap Chinese) blades in a few jobs, replaced them all with Imperials and have not looked back. Turns the cheap Chicago OT into a worthy competitor - AND they're made in America. Cutting failed cheap Chinese pot-metal screws with an American blade just feels right.

I got the three pack. The length and width saved me on many jams I was in on my remodel project. No other blade/tool would have solved the problem. I'm still on my first blade.
