Well organized, replete with examples, and yet easy to use. Each southern state archive is described with its record holdings. Sources of War Between the States & battlefield information are also provided. Interesting pictures add to the overall presentation. It can't be beat!

Very helpful book. It's nice that there are research guides for all the states who were part of the War of Northern Aggression (as we Southerners call it!).
