Several weeks ago my mechanical/ball mouse bit the dust. My son is a computer software engineer and he recommended that I buy an optical mouse to replace it. I did a lot of research at the computer geek web sites and the Logitech MX 510 scored very hi marks. Frankly I was not in the market for a mouse pad; son has always provided me with free ones. Several reviewers said that the Logitech mouse and the Func 1030 mouse pad are a superior combination. For about twenty bucks for this pad I thought why not, so I ordered one thru Amazon.

I am a retired professional photographer and I do a lot of dust & scratch removal when I "scan in" my photographs to the computer. It has always been frustrating to place the pointer exactly in the right spot; not any more. For professional applications this combination can't be beat. The mouse glides over the pad surface like it's floating on air, yet stops on a dime, precisely where you want it. Tracking with the Logitech MX 510 optical mouse is perfect.

The designers of this pad deserve the highest praise. The pad is big 10 X 8.5;" The duel surfaces have different traction qualities; smoother side is perfect for the optical mouse.
These folks thought of everything, pad is surrounded by a rubber matte that firmly holds the plastic pad in place and grips my desk better then any pad I have ever owned, rock solid hold. A clip is provided that keeps the mouse cord right where you want it all the time. This pad is very easy to clean, just lift it out of the rubber base and wash it. Few things in life are perfect but this pad is for sure. I give it my highest recommendation for any application. I just ordered a second pad for my son, I know he will love it to.

I've used a couple other gaming mouse pads and this is my favorite.

Pros:
-Two textures to choose from
-Mouse glides over very smoothly
-Rubber base stays in place
-Not too big, not too small
-Mouse clip works very well
-Good looking tin case for transportation
-Excellent quality
-Reasonably priced (for a gaming mouse pad)

Cons:
-Could be cheaper if they didn't include the case
-Surface might wear out after a while, but I've having no problems after 6 months.
-Seems to attract dust and dirt
-...

I use this with my Logitech MX510 mouse and teflon mouse feet tape. This combo is awesome, my mouse glides over the pad like it's ice. I think the pad is worth the every cent.

Nice mouse pad. Figured the case came with it for the price I paid. All the other websites said the case was included. Maybe they sent me the watered-down version. My problem was that my mouse skipped all over the place. Hopefully this pad will put an end to that. It glides very nicely. I'll update as to whether the skipping stops. but so far I like it.

UPDATE: Day 2 and my mouse is gliding wonderfully across my desktop on this mousepad. I really love it! I haven't tried the opposite side yet...love the feel of this one. No skipping or jumping.
