Great Book! It is a science fiction with some mix of future prophesy from the Bible. You would like to finish in one sitting. I bought this book sometime ago but since I dont know James Somers, I had it in sitting my kindle, I started reading it over the holiday and I realized that it was a very good book and I could not put it down. The development of the story is very good, suspense but not too slow. I will definitely buy more of James book.

It is an end-times saga, but reads more like a spy thriller. I both enjoyed reading the book, and approved of the limitted scriptural interpretation. This was my first James Somers book; now I will go buy the rest of them.

This novel somehow found its way into print without benefit of an edit. Don't let that deter you, although overflowing with grammatical mistakes and punctuation errors, Perdition's Gate has a refreshing absence of plot. It seems to have been written by a committee of bored Bible college sophomores on hallucinogenic mushrooms. Yikes, Amazon, what were you thinking to offer this for sale?

I'll admit I was sceptical to begin with, felt far too similar to the Left Behind series. But when you're basing it on the same section of scripture I guess there should be similarities! There were some spelling and grammar errors here and there, which did jar, but overall fast-paced, well written, well developed characters, and I loved the futuristic sci-fi feel.My only issue is that the sequel doesn't seem to be around yet... I need more! Anyone know the release date?

A must read for fans of Left Behind and Biblical based thrillers!,

If you enjoyed the Left Behind Series or any other biblically based thrillers, then you'll love Perdition's Gate. There's a lot of action...very much like a spy thriller. No dull moments trying to skip ahead here. Think Bourne Identity meets Bible Prophecy, with some futuristic stuff like robots and gadetry thrown in for added interest. The cliffhanger ending left me wanting a sequel, but at least there's a snippet of the next installment at the end of the book. Looking forward to Perdition's Gate-Inferno when it comes out1

Very Interesting Take on Bible Prophecy,

I really enjoyed this end times prophecy thriller...there were some interesting twists and turns as well as alot of action. I would agree with others who likened it to a spy novel in many ways. The near future setting and technology added a whole other dimension to it that I wasn't expecting. There's definitely a cliffhanger ending to it...if this is a series, when is the sequel coming? I want to know what happens! I'll definitely check out more from this author.

Black OPs action and suspense in the Tribulation!,
By
This review is from: INFERNO (New Perdition's Gate Omnibus Edition) (Kindle Edition)
For fans of Christian Fiction like Left Behind, Perdition's Gate is full of near-futuristic action and intrigue. Basically a Black Ops thriller backdropped against the Great Tribulation with some cool tech and robots thrown in for good measure. I particularly enjoyed the villians here...that the Antichrist, Oliver Theed, begins as merely a power player who begins to realize prophecy foretells of his assassination...then he's looking to lay low and save his own skin...but he only speeds events toward his demise. "We often meet our destiny on the road we take to avoid it," --Master Uguay: Kung Fu Panda. Some of the imagery may be a bit heavy for younger readers, as we see Satan himself conjured into a body prepared for him to control. Christian Fiction with an edge!

A Spy Thriller wrapped up in Bible Propecy,
By
This review is from: INFERNO (New Perdition's Gate Omnibus Edition) (Kindle Edition)
I'm not sure some reviewers realized this is Christian Fiction, but for those of us who enjoy bible prophecy with lots of action and suspense, this novel delivers. Taking place in the not to distant future (think Left Behind-meets-I Robot)the events found in Revelation are unfolding before an unsuspecting black ops agent, Nightstalker, who is more concerned with why his fiance has just been killed, as a mole working for Christian terrorists, during a mission he was assigned to in Jerusalem. His search for answers turns all of his long held beliefs upside down, as he realizes the true enemy isn't who he once believed, and his salvation may be found with those he's been hunting down his entire career. Lots of suspense and action in this rapid thriller that was able to keep me guessing to the last page and looking for the next installment.

I was hooked on this book by the third chapter. Couldn't put it down. Somers book read like a movie.I enjoyed the short chapters, action, adventure, futuristic with sci-fi feel, great twists that kept my interest. Christian prophecy brought in to the book was intriguing. Kept my interest to the very end and I can hardly wait for the sequel. Write fast James Somers, will look foward to more books from him.
