Disney/Pixar Characters and Worlds Like Never Before

With DISNEY INFINITY players truly enter the worlds of their favorite Disney/Pixar franchises, and wield the abilities of their favorite characters. Simply place your INFINITY figures onto the game base to jump into a play set and experience original adventures in the worlds of Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles. Take on the role of Sulley, the naturally gifted 'scarer'; become Captain Jack Sparrow, the incorrigible sword-wielding pirate; or transform yourself into Mr. Incredible, one of the world's greatest crime-fighters.

The More You Play, the More You Unlock

Battle enemies, solve puzzles, overcome obstacles and complete a variety of other unique quests. You can also create your own world - the choice is yours in DISNEY INFINITY. Unlock virtual toys from each play set -- characters, buildings, weapons, gadgets and more –- and bring them into the Toy Box where you can mix them all up to create your own game. In the Toy Box, there are no rules and you can create any adventure you want. The only limitations are those of your imagination. Share your one-of-a-kind creations with your friends with up to 4-player co-op play, and enjoy the option to collect more characters. The more you play, the more you unlock - and the more you have, the more possibilities for play. Players can add new INFINITY play sets and figures as the franchise continues, and can even take their DISNEY INFINITY experience to a whole new level with Power Discs – an all new way to unlock character powers, fun gadgets and new ways to customize your world. But remember, the story never ends. The DISNEY INFINITY Starter Pack is just the beginning, with many more Disney and Disney/Pixar characters and worlds coming soon, giving you infinite ways to inspire your imagination.

My kids and I are having a blast with this game. My four year old son and teenage daughters haven't a clue how to play yet but how cool is it to run around Monsters U with Mike W! Pirates game was very fun - me and my son worked together. I know you can only play one at a time in the play sets but taking turns is fun (and what we used to do "back in the day") and sometimes we share by one having the controller and the other using the nunchuck. We really haven't figures out the toy box yet but we are having lots of laughs so that makes it all worth it. Got the Cars set and we are already planning for Toy Story, Wreck It Ralph, Phineas and Ferb, etc. It is a nice break from the world.

I know alot of people are mad that the Wii version is not as functional as the other versions but I am happy they made it for the Wii. I am considering getting and XBox or PS3 if we really love the game at some point.

Get this to have fun with your kids:)

UPDATE - April 2014 - We were enjoying the Wii version but it was hard to always figure out what to do. Without anyone to help me and my 4 year old play I decided to buy a used Xbox 360 to see if the graphics and game were better. And they are!! We replayed alot of the game again but it was so much more fun and enjoyable on the Xbox 360 than on the Wii. So in summation I would give the Wii version 3 stars and the Xbox 360 version 5 stars.

I have had a lot of problems and disappointment with this game. I have to admit that I have an older Wii so as I said this game might be a lot better on other or even newer systems. The first issue I had was that my Wii wouldn't read the CD. I looked online and saw that this issue is already listed as a problem for older Wii's. The problem for me was that the lens on the Wii needed to be cleaned. I looked on line and found some good advice on how to clean it. I ended up going to Walmart and getting a $10 disk that has little brushes on the back. I put it in the wii and I guess it cleaned the lens as it started working after that.

The next "feature" I wasn't aware of is that on the older Wii systems, not Wii U, in the playset mode you can't play multi-character. You can only play with more than one person in the toy box mode.

Today we had an issue that it was stuck saving the game. It just sat there saying saving game. We had to power off the wii and power it back on.

All in all I prefer Skylanders and they seem to work much better on my Wii and I like the stories more. My son is enjoying building in Toy Box mode so it might work out in the long run.

Disney, what were you thinking?? You took Toy story 3 game and added a portal and other Disney characters.. Really?? I love Disney EVERYTHING , but I hate this game!
this comes with no directions, my son who is 8 can play anything..Except this game . We have had it since it came out I spent a fortune and he spent all his birthday money. BUYER BEWARE!!! ALL THAT STUFF YOU SEE ON THE ADVERTISEMENT .. no idea how to do it. AND if that's not bad enough, the power up discs are grab bags!! I spent 15 bucks and have three sets of exactly the same discs. (cant return them ) electronics!! nice!! we have the first two skylanders games but didnt want to buy the third because they were making you get the portal AGAIN, but have played it its cool has awesome figures and is playable. Disney Infinity....well..the figures are cool, but so far that's it.
Oh yea, I purchased this from amazon (in advance) and the day it came out target, walmart and TRU had the character packs for 19.99!! where is my price match?? yea, thats what i thought. NOTHING!!!

My fiance and I love to play skylanders and are huge video game fans. I am also absolutely obsessed with Disney. The game seemed fun and interesting, however, we were very upset to find that the Wii version does not allow you to be play two player mode for very much of the game. We also have a wii U system, and through contacting disney, they allowed us to mail them the wii game and they replaced with with the wii U version. I was very impressed with disney for this! Please be warned that the Wii version is not really two player!!!

Purchased the Disney Infinity for the Wii console. The game and everything arrived as expected and operated well. Came to learn that you can only play offline multiplayer in the Toy Box (not in the worlds), and couldn't get online to play with other users. Apparently the Wii doesn't support these features; however, the Xbox360, Playstation, and WiiU are fine. We exchanged this one for the Xbox360 version and couldn't be happier.
