I have read all of the Kinsey Millhone mysteries by Sue Grafton and when I read that this series is similar, I had to try this book. I really enjoyed it. Flew through it in roughly 24 hours. Started early evening yesterday and finished today after work. Couldn't put it down! I am going to download the others in the series tonight. Great read for adults, little explicit language and violence so not for kids under 18.

The book started slow, then exploded. Then slowed down again, then got interesting again. I felt the writing was meant for a younger group, in spite of the language. It was confusing at times and there was too much pondering by the main character. I had to skim over those parts to get to the meat of the story. All in all it was an interesting premise, but not a page turner.

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This is book 3 of the Sydney Rye series. Sydney Rye is on a dangerous mission to find a missing girl. She's unsure of who she can trust as she seeks help from friends old and new. Emily Kimelman does an extraordinary job once again drawing us in to her dark mystery. This novel is a perpetual thrill ride, and page turner with great believable characters, location descriptions so realistic that you feel like you're there. This is the kind of book I love getting into. If you don't mind violence, a little sex and dirty language, then you will love the Sydney Rye Series!

As a big fan of Emily Kimelman's previous two stories in the Sydney Rye series, I read this latest book with pretty high expectations and I was not disappointed. The way Ms. Kimelman describes each of the amazing locations, it really feels like you are there alongside Sydney as she risks her life fighting for right. The mystery is intriguing and kept me turning the pages all in one sitting. Ms. Kimelman has created a truly memorable heroine to root for- one I hope to see in many more novels to come. Rye is a character who is relatable in her flaws but her real humanity shines through in her dedication to justice (on her terms) and her loyalty to those she loves.

I was definitely entertained reading this book. I think that anyone who wants to read it should really read the first books in the series. I felt like I was missing out on so much by starting on the third. I agree that the language and violence is not for kids, but really, that is just how some people talk. I kept getting confused about the events that happend in Sydney's past, like who killed this person and that person, but I guess I should have read the other books first. There were some editing issues and a lot of short sentences, but those issues did not distract me from the story. I don't want to spoil anything, but I think the ending was a little rushed and we never find out why "she" did such horrible things. I think I would have liked some face to face closure for Sydney. But, the ending was left open for another book and I would definitely read it.

I love good fiction....BUT some of this book was just not believable.
A teenage girl could not have done some of the things this book has in it.

Read one Sydney Rye novel and was not particularly impresses. Thought I would give the author another chance and read another one, same thing nothing special. I kept reading, waiting for the really good part. I'm still waiting!

I found the book confusing and hard to follow. The book didn't make much sense. Nees more organized plot and realistic characters.
