Before getting the remote, and based on previous reviews, I had the impression that I would need to go to a professional alarm installation store (ie. Best Buy) in order to program it. The remote comes with very easy to follow instructions for the "learning" process. You WILL NEED to know where the physical "valet" button on your car alarm system is. It took me a while to find it, following some cables under the hood/near the fuse box in my car (which I believe is why SOME people might need to get expert help).
Once you find the valet button, the process is really simple and straightforward, and you won't need any further tools. The remote controller comes ready to use, with batteries already installed. Great product.

This product was an excellent buy from Amazon. My original broke at the key ring attachment, so I needed a new one, just got the code off the back and searched it, amazingly found one just like it to replace. Great product, completely satisfied.

Got exactly wht I ordered. Wasn't easy installation but I paid someone to program it for me. Might order anth one

This is the correct product but for some reason, it won't program to my car. I have the exact same one (but older) and it will unprogram and reprogram, but this remote won't work at all. Caution!

Went on line downloaded the instruction fro my alarm and walla....5 minutes later my new alarm remote works like a charm. Works from over 100 feet away! Nice.

Works great on my older viper alarm problem is when arrived there were no programming instructions had to go online and find them took me awhile annoying.

This replacement remote works well. Keep in mind it may need to be programed for your vehicle by a profesional. Best buy helped me out.
