It may be...perfect.,
This review is from: IOGEAR 3-Port USB 2.0 Mobile Hub GUH276 (Black) (Personal Computers)
Check out the other available multi-usb hubs. Many of them require that you plug them in to an electrical outlet. This one: no need to plug it into the wall. But there is another problem with most of them; you have push/pull the usb device into the port. The ports are almost always designed so you have to push/pull horizontally. So, as you push/pull, the unit will slide. You have to brace it with one hand while you push/pull with the other. I was looking for one where the pressure was vertical, and this one is. I press it down "into the table" so no bracing needed. Of course, to retrieve the usb device you do need to brace it. Here is a list of things I like about this hub: ' No need for electricity ' I always struggle to figure out which way to plug usb devices in because some genius somewhere decided that everything should be black. Black on black with more black which means that it's impossible to see unless you use a flashlight. The little plastic tabs inside these hubs- the one that lets you know which way to plug it in- those tabs are white. Super easy. ' It has an additional "Mini-B" connector which fits most cameras. 'It's cheap 'It's highly portable. It plugs into any of your usb ports, front or back, but it's cord is only like, what, 3" or so. So for my home PC I have a cheap-o usb cord extender that allows me to place it anywhere on the desk and still have it reach to whatever port. Then, on the road, with my netbook, throw it in the bag, its small (smaller than most mice), lightweight, and no extra extender cord needed because netbook/laptop distances are nil. ' it has four rubber non-slip dots on the bottom which keeps it from sliding as you plug it in. All in all, great price, super convenient, cool looking and functional.

The hub is sleek, compact, inexpensive...it needs no AC adapter and it has the USB ports facing up. This is exactly what I've been looking for. The fact that I can charge my headset as well is definitely a plus. Most hubs I had been looking at were clunky or expensive. It works great and does exactly what I need it to do.

I bought this USB hub to make it more convenient to plug my laptop computer into a full-size keyboard, mouse, and external USB hard drive at my office. I wanted a small unit so I could use it for travel as well. It serves both these functions well. Speed is as expected. Very good price.
