No more gas or oil to mess with, its lightweight,quiet & cuts just as fast or faster than the Jiffy I had.
I am 5'5" 115lb female and never tire drilling holes with the Ion - no jarring, light weight, no fumes, and slices right through.
This auger is a dream... The auger rotates somewhat slower than my Jiffy, but it cut through the ice like butter.
