IPEVO S0-10 Skype Desktop Phone is a perfect telephone for those who prefer the look and feel of a traditional desktop phone along with the free or low cost of Internet calling through Skype - all without the need for a computer! Fully Skype-certified, the SO-10 takes the convenient features of the Skype VOIP computer application - history, contact list, status, Skype user search - and condenses them into an easy-to-use interface. This interface comes courtesy of a bright, sharp, full color 2.4 inch LCD screen, which is adjustable depending on desired viewing angle. Intuitive navigation and large menu icons emulate the familiar Skype application, which provides free Skype-to-Skype calls and low-cost domestic and international calling over the Internet.

With complete Skype functionality already installed on the SO-10's computer-grade CPU, there's never the hassle of software installation or cumbersome configurations. Simply plug the SO-10 into your DSL or Cable Modem connection (with included CAT5 Ethernet cable); optionally, you can also plug your computer into the SO-10 in case you need or would like to share the Internet connection with a computer. From there, sign directly into your existing Skype account, or create a new free Skype account right there on the phone. The SO-10 will connect to your account and import your contact list, along with such things as Skype Credit. Non-Skype mobile phone or landline users can call you directly if you opt into the SkypeIn program, while you can call non-Skype phones via the optional SkypeOut program. Your Skype voicemail (another optional service) is also easily accessible.

While the SO-10 is fully integrated with Skype, it handles like a traditional desktop phone, and it has all the features and functionality you've grown accustomed to. Adjust volume, access speed dial numbers, mute, redial, or enjoy handsfree speakerphone mode, all at the touch of a button.

Let me tell you why I love this phone so much. I live off-grid and have a quality yet next to nothing overhead, so having a Skype phone fits in well for only about $60 a year cost. I currently have 4 IPEVO desktop phones with 3 separate phone number lines assigned to them. Unlike other VOIP services which require you to have a computer running 24/7 the IPEVO does not, and my power meter shows that the IPEVO only consumes 2 watts (like a night light almost) compared to well over 100 watts for a computer to be on. But here is what I really like about these phones. The phone itself is beautiful and you can feel the solidness of it, unlike other very light weight plastic feeling models. It's Italian European design what do you expect. It has this cool feature of having a blue indicator light that changes to flashing green when you have a message, very handy. Besides having the features of speed dial buttons, speakerphone, redial etc. It has this great feature of being able to have the phone ring only once for an incoming call, I like that because if you are wanting private no phone answering time, you don't have to listen to the phone ringing and ringing but you will know you have a call. Love that feature! Also unlike other desktop phones the IPEVO has it's own built in router which means that you don't have to run separate cables to your phone, I have mine daisy chained together on a single network cable. Now the newer models have a wireless option and I bought my 4 IPEVO's when they were around $180 each and were worth every cent, but now at around $110 they are hands down the best deal available. Customer service is A+, they listen to their customers and have made several firmware upgrades such as resolving the caller ID History issue mentioned by others, and they continue to make upgrade enhancements to the best Skype desktop phone on the planet in my humble opinion.

I was lucky to get the S0-10 with the promotion price. I am very satisfied with this desktop phone so far. Although it is not wireless (actually there is a cord between the handset and machine), the quality is good and stable. And of course the sleek design is one of the reasons I chose it.
Without setting up a computer, S0-10 is very easy to use. I just need to plug in my Ethernet cable. I am considering to buy one for my parents because comparing with buying a computer, S0-10 is much cheaper. Also, it will be much easier for them because it is just like using the regular phone.
I think this item will be a good choice for parents and who are lazy to turn on a computer but still need to make a Skype call.

This is an awesome product. I plugged it in and it worked right away. The voice quality is terrific. Occasionally, you hear some drops in sound or there is lag, but that is Skype, not the phone.

If you are a regular user of Skype, this will enhance your use big time. I highly recommend this product.
