I chose to purchase this product after reading the reviews about how long this cord was. Reviews said it was over 5ft long. IT IS NOT! At least not the one I received. It is 40 inches, or just over 3ft long. I purchased this as a replacement for the too-short cord that came with my iPhone.
HOWEVER, this is a sturdy, high-quality cord that has a nice locking mechanism. It works perfectly with my iPhone 3G. I recommend the cord that I got to anyone wanting an additional 3ft cable. However, judging by the different reviews, this company seems to be selling inconsistent products.

Cheap. Made in China. It won't fit when my iPhone is in it's Otterbox Defender case. Need I say more?

cheap, but works as expected with iphone 3g. cable is indeed longer than the standard one.
