My daughter is handicapped and has problems blowing her nose (Cerebral Palsy).
She also has terrible alergies. We've tried everything over the years trying to make our house alergy free and her life more enjoyable. But she's constantly getting sick and have reactions.

We've tried several different airfilters. Finally after researching on the net and seeing the HealthPro Plus coming out on top on every test/review we decided to spend the 800 bucks and take a chance.

I'm happy to say it worked as advertised. Within the first 24 hours of running the filter in her room on high speed her chronic sniffles disappeared. The next day we moved the filter (it's on wheels) to the middle of the house to have it treat the air in the entire house.

It's really doing a great job. The air in our home smells fresh as though the windows were open. I can't recommend this unit enough.

Only one minor quibble. IT comes with casters but they seem sort of flimsy considering the size an wieght of the machine. I'm afraid they will snap off if I try rolling the unit across carpet. But that's a minor concern.

I love the fact we can program it to run when we want it to and that it comes with a remote.

This thing is big. It needs a place of it's own in the room. It is also loud. Even on it's lowest setting, this is not one for the bedroom, unless you like white noise. On it's highest setting I can't be in the same room with it. It is a very simple straightforward design. Basically a big square plastic tube or box open at two ends where air is drawn in from the bottom and blow out the top, passing though the filters along the way. There are six speed settings and three filter timers, which tell you when to change the filters. There is a prefilter $59, a HEPA filter $189 and an optional carbon filter they call V5-cell $89 for odors. These filters look to me like serious filters and are what convinced me to buy this machine. It is a very expensive air cleaner, with 337 dollars worth of filters that leaves 552 dollars for a plastic box and a motor. I am hoping that most of that $552 is for the motor and it lasts a long time, the plastic box leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, if you get one check the plastic box or housing for cracks, mine had splits in a few of the corners. Update; I spoke with customer care about the splits and are sending me a new housing section. They where easy to get a hold of and great to deal with. Had the new part in the mail the same day. I want to further explain why I gave this machine only 4 stars. Two reasons; for the price of this machine I believe the housing should be of a better quality and for the price I feel they could have baffled the sound to get it quieter. But as I stated earlier the filters are impressive, and that is what's important.

I got this model, originally because I had a bad mold problem in my house. I can't tell you how much this helps my health and breathing. I put it next to my bed at night and can't sleep without it. Everyone that has come over (including my brother, who has severe allergies and asthma) wants one. They are all amazed at how fast it cleans the air and gets rid of odors. It's truly an amazing machine!

A friend was over at my place today and wanted some tea. So he grabbed my electric hot water heater, which looks like a kettle. Instead of just filling it with water and turning it on, he filled it with water and put it on my electric stove. About five minutes later we start smelling burning plastic. We rush into the kitchen and as he lifts the electric kettle off the stove the plastic base bursts into flames that almost hit the ceiling. After putting out the fire, what remained was charred plastic and the wicked stench of a violent industrial fall out. Overwhelmed by the smell of plastic, we opened the windows and left the house hoping that the fumes would dissipate. When I returned an hour later though, the smell was still unbearable, so I left and started investigating air filters on my laptop at a local coffee shop. I saw reviews of the IQ Air Health Pro Plus and found a nearby store that had a demo. I went to the store and got the demo. When I got back to my place the entire house was still wreaking of plastic and I started developing a headache from the smell. So I put the IQ on the highest setting (6) and left again. About an hour later, I came back and the house did not have a trace of plastic scent. In fact, it's the best my place has smelled and felt in a long time. My headache is gone and I'm keeping the IQ. On the 6th setting, it is pretty loud. Lower settings aren't that loud and with ear plugs on setting 1 to 3, I think the background noise will be great for sleeping.

All purifiers in the US are basically junk, and we don't know it. This one is used in hospitals and computer clean rooms. It works more than fantastic and cleans everything including germs out very, very quickly and circulates wonderful clean healthy air. It seems like it costs alot, but if you have allergies, COPD or asthma, then it cannot be beat. If one cannot breath, it costs pennies in the long run as it lasts and lasts. Since indoor air pollution is 4 to 100 times worse than outdoors, well believe me, it is great to have a product that cleans the smallest of air polutants in centimeters, which is 100 times better than other air cleaners. This one works, and extremly well and quickly. Cannot be compared to any other brand.

This air purifier is the best I've used. It looks heavy, but it's actually very lightweight and easy to move around, even without the casters. My indoor sensitivities to dust, mold and cat dander seem to have decreased since I have been using this. I set it to 2 for all day and night use, since it is very quiet, but turn it up to 4 or 5 if there is an odor I want to get rid of quickly, and it works to clear it in a few minutes.

Just got the HealthPro Plus today. Initial impression is that it is well made and reasonably quiet. Silent on 1 (lowest setting) reasonable on 3 (middle) pretty loud on 6 (highest). 1 30CFM - 3 100CFM. The real test though is if I wake up in the morning feeling like I've been ran over by a snot truck. Will have to see over the next few weeks. I sure hope I shelled out this much money and actually get some benefit from it.
