The best safron producing region in the world,

This review is from: IRANIAN SAFFRON, 1 OUNCE TIN (Misc.)
After years of imbargos on Iranian products, we're finally able to start enjoying them again in the US. Safron from this region is so much better than the Spanish variety, and infinatly better than the dust particles you'll find in your local grocery store. Long, fragrant threads that infurse incredible flavor that is unrivled. No matter safron used to be worth more than its weight in gold - bricks of it used to be used as currency back in Marco Polo's days. I'm getting hungry just thinking about safron - time to go cook something.

I am very pleased with the Saffron. The product arrived quickly. I am pleased with the packaging. I will order again. (yes it is pricey however, the beautiful color, flavor and aroma do not compare to other saffrons)

IT WAS A FULL OUNCE.I TRYED USING A LOT OF IT IN SOME RICE,IT COLORED THE RICE WELL BUT IT DID NOT TASTE MUCH DIFFERENT THAN A SMALL AMOUNT. I THINK YOU ARE BETTER OFF BUYING A SAFFRON RICE MIX ITS A LOT CHEAPER THAN MAKING YOUR OWN.
