I am a graduate student and I find that the EndNote product is INVALUABLE for references in papers and reports. This program magically locates all of your references and orders them at the end of your report. If you need to change the format of your references or citation markers it will do that for you in a blink of an eye. The only problem is that EndNote 3 was uncompatible with Office XP, and thus I have to upgrade to a newer version. If you run Office XP you should get this version.

Endnote has made my life 100 times easier. I can't remember what I ever did without it. I am a doctoral student, and I have 100's of articles lying around, and Endnote helps me to keep track of them. It is a necessity for writing papers, articles, grants and dissertations. Don't spend valuable time typing in refernces individually!

You can't "check your brains at the door".....I have to review the finished manuscript and sometimes "tweak" small distinctions (ie: citing when you've already given the author's name in the text of your report); nonetheless, the program has made research writing SO MUCH EASIER for me. EndNote basically allows me to concentrate on the "flow" of my report, while it automatically shapes the format and references. EndNote comes with a thick manual, but it's pretty easy to learn "the basics" just by playing with it awhile. I have recommended EndNote highly to other graduate students in my classes.

Paper writing and bibliography formating is so much easier! I won't belabor that point since other reviewers do. The feature I find most usefull is research tracking - many online databases such as proQuest will export directly to this product. I never noticed I could download as well as email article lists before I purchased endnote. Wow!

A good friend told me the one thing I really needed to begin grad school was end note. It looked stupid but I bought it and I am SO glad. It has been invaluable in writing papers and eventually putting together references for the thesis. I highly recommend this for grad students in any field. This really is one of those pieces of software you can't live without.
