About the Author
Doug Anton is the founder and president of AEM Consulting Group, Achieving Excellence in Manufacturing. Since 1993, AEM has been an independent consulting firm helping companies build a competitive edge in quality, process/facility design, planning and organization, and employee development.
Doug has led numerous companies to successful ISO, QS and AS 9000 third-party registration. He has assisted with the documentation development, Internal Audit training and surveillance audit preparation in many others.
Prior career experience includes nine years with two Black & Decker companies where Doug served as Director of Quality and Total Quality Coordinator, along with other management roles in Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities. His project management experience includes JIT, MRP II and Activity Based Costing. He has also had experience in the field of education as an Industrial Technology teacher.
Doug has published articles and has been a guest speaker for a variety of organizations, universities and on the radio. He has developed and presented a dozen public ISO 9000 seminars through AEM.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and did his graduate work at Utah State University.
Carole Anton has been involved with AEM Consulting Group since 1993 as the Director of Operations.
Her former professional experience includes working as a public accountant and as an Internal Auditor and accountant in various resort hotels and casinos in the Lake Tahoe area.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno and passed the CPA exam in 1983.
