Frank Voehl was born in 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, to Irish and Sweedish/German immigrant parents. For ten years he worked and taught in New York City colleges, and moved his family with four children to Florida in 1980. His first book, "Deming: The Way We Knew Him," was a National Book Award Finalist, and since then he has authored/co-authored over 30 books on business management, performance improvement for rapid results, and continuous improvement. He is a Grand Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and an acknowledged world-renowned expert in Quality Management, who serves as a Quality Advisor to nations in Eastern Europe, the Bahamas, and South America. In 2006, he won the prestigious ASQ Distinguished Service Award. He writes under pen names F H Love, M E Mayer, and Richard Young, and lives with his wife, Micki, in Coconut Creek and Orlando, Florida.
