In essence, the book reinterprets the new requirements into a list of specific actions that need to be taken to achieve conformance, and explains how to implement them in the organization. About the Author
Jack Kanholm holds an Engineering Master of Science degree from the Technical University of Denmark. He is a Registered Lead Assessor licensed by the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA), a Lead Auditor under the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) Assessor Registration Scheme, and an AIAG certified Lead Auditor. His licenses cover ISO 9000, QS-9000, ISO 13485 (EN 46000) and ISO 14000 management systems. Mr. Kanholm's experience with auditing and certifying management systems dates back to the first European ISO 9000 certifications in the mid-eighties. He is a prominent figure in the world of quality and environmental management systems. As an official consultant for the European Union he assists governments in Asia and Eastern Europe in setting up their ISO 9000 accreditation schemes; he is a public speaker and contributor of articles at conferences and professional publications; and he is an active auditor colaborating with major international registrars.

Not for Beginners,

While the book does deliever on what the title suggests - a guide to the 2000 version requirements, it is definitely not for a reader who is new to ISO and the ISO standards. It almost felt like I started the book after skipping the first several chapters.

A must have guilde for Quality Consultants and Quality Managers to upgrade the certification to comply with the revisions.It also helps pople to undertand abou th ISO standards and the need for the revision.
