I purchased both the carry-on size and larger size of this luggage a couple of years ago, and it has not proved to be very durable. Scuffs and even small tears are to be expected, but the pull handle no longer goes up and down, making the suitcase very inconvenient to use. I saved the tags when I purchased the luggage, as it boasts a 10 year guarantee on it, but after a couple of moves I am not able to locate my sales receipt, making this guarantee invalid. What's more disappointing, is I have had trouble contacting the manufacturer at all. Customer service has been disappointing and I will not purchase from this company again or recommend it.

I've owned 3 versions of this luggage. I purchased 2 of them as a set of 3 and they were really inexpensive, but I really only used the large one as a checked bag. I used each set 3 or 4 times before they became too damaged to use any further. I intended them to be semi-disposable, but after the 2nd set bled the outer color onto all my clothing inside while sitting on a rainy runway during a plane change, I decided to look for something more durable. While I was using this, I duct taped the handles to keep the fabric from separating from the metal edges. The fabric tore easily, but usually not all the way through. The zipper pulls were pulled off by the baggage handling equipment, rendering the outer compartments unusable. I have looked extensively, and haven't found anything that even approaches the capacity/weight ratio these provide, but in the end, I need to find something more durable.

Anyone who gets these pieces would be wise to treat the outside fabric with Scotchguard to prevent soggy clothing at best, and staining at worst. Several layers of clothing that lay closet to the surface of the bags outer walls are affected...the black colored suitcase didn't bleed but the fushia color did, and the stains didn't come out of clothing despite immediate washing and stain treatment (while still soggy).

Unfortunately it ripped at my third flight. I think this series is good only for carryons because it's true that it's super light, but it's also very fragile...

I was able to use a 20% off coupon on this item. This is not the largest case. There is one that is larger and when comparing the actual items side by side, the larger case is the one you should go with. Your local TJ MAX probably has the larger case and their price is only 69.99.

Wow, the reviews for this bag are all over the place. I have 3 of these bags, 32", 29", and 21"... I personally do like them a lot and are my only go to bags now. I have probably ten other suitcases that sit in the closet. Off course the main reason i use these bags is for the light weight. I travel once a month usually to many places all over the world. with multiple transfers. yes the bags aren't made of the heaviest duty material, or else they would be too heavy and defeats the purpose. I believe a certain amount of luck is involved whether the airline baggage handlers throw your bag down and break something. the frame of the bag is made of plastic tubing and i had one that broke, i just used gorilla glue and electric tape and voila, back in business. I am almost 60 and hate to carry heavy stuff. these bags are about 10 pounds lighter than the traditional suitcases for their equivalent size. Even if i don't fill it to 50lbs everytime, i do enjoy that they are lighter, my 21" is my carry on case and i love the lightweight... my previous bag i had a hard time lifting it to the overhead compartment.
All in all, i have at least travelled 10+ trip with each of the bag, yes a little wear on the canvas part and a very small snag here and there, but i do use my bags.
In my big 32" i put a split board for kiteboarding and 2 kites and the rest of my equipment, previously i had to use a long board bag and at times had to pay for the bag $100 each way, buying this bag had saved me a lot.
Again these are not the sturdiest bags out there nor the most glamorous but they work great and for me they have lasted, and depends what you want them for. Just make sure you shop for the lowest price.
good luck and safe travels.

We were getting ready to take a two week river cruise in Europe and were limited to one piece of luggage each at 50 pounds. I weighed our old luggage and it weighed 15 pounds empty. I read about the IT luggage as being the world's lightest luggage - it weighed less than 5 pounds empty; leaving me 10 more pounds to pack in each of our two bags. Yes, we bought two of these. Although lightweight they were very durable and maneuverable. Bottom line: great quality and a super price.

A one trip wonder. I put only 40 pounds in it to comply with Spirit's weight restriction ,but, by the time I made it home the bag was torn and the wheels were turned in an rubbing. A lot of money for one shot. Stay away.

I loved this when I purchased. I have about 5 pieces for my husband and I. Sadly each one is wearing poorly. I was just packing for a trip and realized the frame is totalY boken on the inside of my favorite piece so I decided to call customer service to see about honoring the 10 year warranty. WHAT A JOKE! Try to find a phone number or contact email. They don't exist!!! Three pieces came from TJMaxx, 1 from Kolhs and the last from Luggage Pro. After careful inspection, none of the pieces are without wear. Most have the metal frames nearly uncovered in the corners. This is not "normal wear and tear". I am terribly disappointed because this is definitely the lightest luggage I have ever owned, but if it falls apart after 1-3 flights, it's worthless. Since there is no way to contact them, I'm not sure how to proceed!
BUYER BEWARE! Nice to look at, lovely to carry, doesn't hold up to normal use.

My wife and I used a set of this luggage on a three week long European tour. Luggage survived numerous plane, train, and car trips without any damage or problems. The light weight made it easy to meet airline weight restrictions and the bright red color made it easy to spot on luggage carousels.
