5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
I bought this for my teenage boy who is developing a terrible posture.
It has work perfectly. It keeps his back straight while playing video games and reading.
His posture has imporove a lot.
Its confortable and adjustable.
I would highly recommend it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as expected
I wish I could give a little better review on this product, but I am sorry that I cannot. The problem with the whole thing is the fit.

One: The straps are way too long. I could have wrapped them around my waist four times and still had plenty of room to fit them the way they should have fitted. And I am a size 14-16, so I am not some little petite thing...

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice, January 31, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wear it when Im at home and in front of the computer to keep my posture straight. It certainly works in keeping me from being able to hunch over. It is a bit bulky to be able to wear it underneath clothing for outdoor public use. Perhaps if you wear clothes that are really baggy you might be able to do it. Even then the shoulder straps will make it look like your wearing a bra (im a dude) or a backpack. Also, you probably will not be able to wear this when eating. For it to work properly you have to put in on fairly tight and both the body strap and shoulder strap go across your belly. Since the pressure isnt distributed equally up and down your front side meals will be very uncomfortable without taking it off.

Since I only use this at home during my down time, these things arent a problem for me, but for others that may not be the case. Hope you find what your looking for.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the better supports, February 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
One of the better supports I've bought for a strained mid/upper back problem. Supports well. The biggest problem is that the shoulder straps bunch up and become little ropes and uncomfortable. ITA-MED should look at book bags as a model and use heavier, padded straps. Sizes run big.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good back support, highly recommended., February 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Product arrived earlier than the estimated delivery date. Good quality product, glad I decided to purchase this. I wear this most of the day time while I am busy doing things at home, feels like wearing a backpack because of the shoulder brace, but got used to that feeling quickly - not a big deal. Have used it for little over a month now. Offers great support for my back, no longer suffer from sore back after a long day of activities. Brochure indicates it can be used at night while sleeping, have not tried that. Would highly recommend this product for back pain sufferers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as expected, June 26, 2010

I wish I could give a little better review on this product, but I am sorry that I cannot. The problem with the whole thing is the fit.

One: The straps are way too long. I could have wrapped them around my waist four times and still had plenty of room to fit them the way they should have fitted. And I am a size 14-16, so I am not some little petite thing. And I did follow the directions on what size to order.
Two: The back does not fit like it does in the picture. When I put mine on it wound up in the middle of my neck. I tried everything to get it to go down further, but to no avail.
Three: You could never wear this under clothes and not have it show in some way. Sorry I had to return it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helps set your shoulders back - and thats pretty much it., April 30, 2011
This review is from: ITA-MED TLSO (Thoracic Lumbo Sacral Orthosis) - Posture Corrector, Medium Support, Adult, Medium (Health and Beauty)
This product came in about 4 days ago, and i'm trying to make it a habit on wearing it as often as i can. I work from home so I spend a lot of time walking and sitting like I 'work from home'.

I believe this product won't help you with any back problems or posture issues concerning your back, but I do believe it works great for your shoulders and as long as your shoulders are back and aligned that should let you be conscious if your back is slouching down. Your under arms may hurt the first days using the product, that means you just have a real slouching issue and it's helping you correct it.

There is no product out there that will correct years of bad posture without giving you some sort of discomfort! and if there is then it's not correcting your bad posture.

This product will correct slouching shoulders (by force/pain)
This product may correct a slouching back. (by your own will)
This product will not correct any neck issues.

You never really feel yourself slouching down, until you see yourself in a reflection or maybe once in a while remind yourself "don't slouch" well this product (worn) will always remind you "keep your shoulders back" and then have you thinking "you may also want to straighten your back"

Overall I'm happy I made this purchase. It's something that has been bothering me for a while now I feel its working, slowly but surely.

***ALSO! I read about two reviews that said this company's size chart is way off, and that you need to order one size smaller... (if your a large order a medium)
not in my case, I'm a medium and sometimes even a small; so i decided to go with a Small size of this product. It was way too small! Should have ordered a medium. velcro straps were way too small, I luckily had some extenders so i was able to make it work without having to return it. so I would suggest to ORDER YOUR SIZE.

This is exactly what my doctor told me I needed to give my back some much needed support. The shipping was very fast and I saved a lot as opposed to purchasing this in a regular medical supply store. I thank you and my back thanks you!!!!!

I went looking for a TLSO brace everywhere and Amazon had the exact item I was looking for. My local pharmacies did not even have this item and medical supply companies were asking for prices anywhere between $80 to $500 (outrageous, right?). You can't beat the bargain from Amazon marketplace.

2.0 out of 5 stars I found this to be a very poor product, October 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ordinarily, if a product is poor, I'll just return it and figure that not everything you buy is going to work well for you. But I've had such a frustrating time with this gizmo (I ordered two different sizes), I want to warn others who may be considering it. It seems other people find this brace helpful. I'm glad for them. I found it bulky, poorly designed, difficult to put on, and very uncomfortable. I tried two different sizes. Neither fit right, although I followed the recommended size when ordering (I'm 6.2" and 180 pounds). The foam shoulder pads are a bad idea if you plan to wear something over them. The fabric is a good quality, but not very good for a brace of this sort. It was stiff, and difficult to maneuver. Since you end up doubling the material when you wear this brace, the entire thing bulges out; additionally, I could never get it 'seated' the right way. I've bought a brace that serves the same function on Amazon, and it was about $30 cheaper.

This works well. I have 8 disk bulges and 1 herniated disk at T10-T11. The only complaint is the metal strips in the back tend to ride up and out of the slots. My wife pushes them down alot. Also I am 5'8" and 200lbs I got a large and it fits a little snug. I don't know if an x-large would have been better or to loose. It has to be tight to work.
