5.0 out of 5 stars A new kind of Jewel Quest
This is different from the earlier Jewel Quest games, which are the Gold Standard of match 3 games. JQ Mysteries is more oriented to the hidden object genre, with a little bit of match 3 thrown in. I like both game types, so I loved this one. I also recommend the Jewel Quest Solitaire games, but only for players of card games.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but gets boring
I've been playing this every evening after dinner for what seems like an eternity. It doesn't move forward, no end in sight, just journal entry after journal entry that doesn't seem to be leading to a conclusion. I have to explain that I do not sit down and play for hours on end, I play for a short time after dinner before bedtime. Perhaps after 3 hours of constant...

Over the past few weeks I've been downloading a lot of these Seek & Find games. Of those that made it past the Free Trial to the point of putting down my money and buying it, this is one of the most enjoyable. The storyline was interesting, the scenes were very well rendered, and the puzzles were entertaining. In addition, this game took longer to complete than many of the others, and I appreciated that.

If you're into Seek & Find games, you won't waste your money with this one, it's definitely one of the best.

I love this game, I am a hidden object player and love the puzzles too. Wish I could find more games like this.

Perhaps after 3 hours of constant playing, I would see some progress. I gave up on the puzzles lining up the gold squares--spent a few minutes on them but they would have taken up several evenings to solve. I found the match-three ones to be simple, but I play those games a lot. I am at the point now where I know where everything is in every room, I have bought the thing that shows me where the jewels are, and I am just finding the same hidden objects over and over. So, not finishing it, enough is enough. If you play these games for hours at a time, you may get a lot more continuity than I had and it all may come together for you. If you are a casual player, this is kind of endless.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, great for hidden objuects, not so great for mini games, February 12, 2010

I really enjoyed the hidden object portion of this game, pretty challenging and it stayed interesting, however, I found the mini games difficult and not fun to play. They were all lining up squares or tetris type games and I generally prefer a bigger variety in my mini games. You can skip them, but you lose your hints for the next screen!

I love this game. Have ran through it twice since purchasing it. Some of the hidden objects are right there , others you have to realy look for-thats what makes it fun. Each game could last a little longer.

Nowhere near as good as the previous two instalments. The puzzle and searching segments took away from the core of the game.
