Very addictive and fun game. Anyone who loves Risk will be happy with this.

P.S. If you have windows Vista you will probably have to change the settings to make it compatible with it. Right click the Risk2 icon in the start up bar (click the lower left button) and go to properties. Go to the "combatibility" tab and make sure the game is running in combatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Be sure to download the free trial version first to check for compatibility. This game (which I loved to play on my old computer) will not run on my vista machine, even in compatibility mode for XP SP2.

Yet another example of vista sucking the big one.

NO REFUNDS allowed on downloadable software so I am out $10. Played it 3 times and it froze on me in diffrent areas every time. The free demo was more fun to play. I'd purchase the game on a disc before the downloadable content.

Game pitches me to the desktop quite often. Does not offer the ability to save the game as you play so sometimes hours of play is lost. Can't seem to find any reliable patches (if they even exist). Seems to me Amazon and IWIN are more interested in your seven dollars than delivering a workable game. Ya know, it's weird but there is never a glitch when it comes to charging my credit card.

Network play would not work on Vista 64. Game continues to freeze on every attempt

Risk (the game) is fun and entertaining. This particular iteration is badly executed. The game crashes often, even on XP SP3; it hangs on audio, the save feature is clumsily done. Furthermore, the random number generator is modified to cheat. When playing against the AI the cheat will sometimes modify rolls on the 1st die to 6's & 5's (this is just the most obvious cheat). If one does not force a reset -by retreating and re-attacking or waiting for a reset of the RNG- the cheat can lock in for an extended number of rolls. This defeats the idea of calculated risk taking. This is anecdotal -without statistical analysis- but the cheat is fairly obvious. I'd have given this a zero ... even for $10 this game sucks ... feels like a college project.

this game never even opens... it freezes as soon as it starts to load... not worth it a HUGE disappointment.... amazon basically stole my 10 bucks

THis program will not work with windows vista. I wish i tried the free trial before I wasted any time or money. If I cannot get a refund, I'll contest the credit card charge.

This is risk, and the animated battles are great
If you need it, you can get the old Indeo video codec for free (its freeware)
just to be clear, you don't need the new codec.

on the old codedc installer, make sure to deselect the web browser plugin because it will never find netscape navigator (haha)
