Product Description

CardSharp2® - a superlight and supersharp utility knife, the same size as a credit card. Just three ingenious folding operations metamorphosise the card into an elegant pocket utility tool. Slimmer and lighter than an ordinary knife, updated features include a stiffer, polypropylene body (living hinges guaranteed for life) and a unique safety lock (cannot open in pocket or drawer and is child proof). The extra long stainless steel surgical blade ensures longer lasting rust free sharpness and the superlight polypropylene body includes a built-in protective sheath that helps prevent injury or blunting.

Customer Reviews

I would recommend this product to all knife collectors.
Julian Byrd
For emergency use it's not a bad idea but you will need to buy two because nobody can resist not folding it once and once is about all you'll get out of it.

It is really the size of a credit card and fits nicely in my wallet.

The Cardsharp is very nice looking and sleek. Mine was delivered quite sharp, but I was disappointed in the plastic handle (I was under the assumption that it would be aluminum). When unfolded, the 'card' design does not lay flat. Not too much of a problem as it lived in my wallet. With the blade deployed, it feels unsafe in your hand. Lots of 'play' and the plastic handle gives zero confidence. To confirm my feelings of a weak knife, the handle cracked with very little pressure. Ultra thin & light, and it looks great, but the manufacturing design is lacking real world usefulness.

Knife folds over one time then doesn't lay flat. Also when fold over second time doesn't stay folded. Plastic studs don't maintain folded integrity.

The knife is really flimsy. Don't buy if the following affect you:

1. I prefer solid knives
2. I have a tendency to get hurt/accident prone
3. I forget what is in my pockets when I go to the airport
4. I get searched by security a lot
5. I can be stupid with knives
6. I prefer a product that is worth my money

If any of these relate to you, I would suggest buying else where. The knife is very individual. Unless you need a knife that may only be in your wallet or purse, are not in a hurry to take it out, are careful with knives, and need it on a daily basis; look somewhere else.

Note: I am typing this review with a bandage on my hand solely because I should not have bought this knife.

I'm about sick and tired of hearing about all these whiners. It's a badass $5 wallet knife! Are you going to clean a deer with it? No. Are you going to fend off would-be attackers with it? No. But it's great for opening up a small box or mail. At the very least, it's a great conversation starter.

the design is decent for a great little hide-away knife for emergencies or as a spare. razor sharp, the same thickness as a credit card, easily folds from card to knife and back. fits in wallets or other card holders. i would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a spare knife hidden just in case. i would NOT recommend this be your primary go-to pocket knife as it would be too awkward for "everyday use"

My understanding is that the CardSharp 2 was designed as a field-expedient scalpel that you could carry around in your wallet. It was not designed as a combat knife, or even a general hard-use utility knife.

I've had no problem with mine unfolding and locking in place, or laying flat when folding back into wallet-storage configuration.

The polypropylene hinges are not supposed to break with flexing and unflexing over time but, again, it was not designed for continual use, but for one-time field scalpel use.

My only, very mild, complaint about it is the rotating safety lock. It _is_ supposed to be child-safe, though,

I've been waiting for this knife for quite a while. After seeing it for the first time it looked like a really great idea and something I would carry with me. After receiving the knife today I am sad to say I'm pretty disappointed. The blade is nice, but it barely integrates with the flimsy plastic handle; it feels like if I ever had to stab something the blade would probably snap off or fold back and slice my hand open. With that said, this would be a great product if it had a metal handle or real hinges that don't just bend the handle in to shape.

Nice knife for what it is. I can see if you have to use it a lot at some point the plastic will break off.
