Product Description

So, you got selected to play bass in the band? Not used to those big old heavy basses? The Ibanez GSR200 is your solution. Featuring a more compact body and smaller neck the GSR200 will go a little easier on you than some other basses. This bass doesn't skimp on tone though, it has both P-bass and J-bass style pickups. To further help the rumble in your tone Ibanez has included the PHAT-II active bass circuit. Hold down the low end of that band with the Ibanez GSR200 Bass.

I got mine used from a pawn shop for $100...one of the best deals ever...great playability, beautiful finish (mine is the transparent red), and GREAT TONE...the onboard electronics give this little baby a better sound than my five-string bass which cost three times more...a great value for the beginner, or for those who want an inexpensive change from their usual bass choice... an added plus, it records beautifully, and is fighting my five-string for "workhorse" honors

My wife bought this at Guitar Center as her first bass to learn on and it sounds and plays great. If you are looking for a bass that plays and sounds well w/ a lot of features w/o breaking the bank, this is it. She plays hers through a Fender Rumble 30.

I bought this bass for my son, so I got this bass as "Used". The item came in it's original Ibanez box with all the stickers and cords in the box. The bass looks as if no body had ever touched this bass. The item was shipped out immediately and received quickly. I am so happy that my son is going to have the best Christmas gift and be able to have this bass for a very long time.

This is an inexpensive, great first bass. The blue finish looks great. The neck has a satin finish allowing hands to slide easily. This bass has a dual pickups and may be adjusted for a range of tone from mellow to punchy. The bass arrives with the strings a little loose. After tuning, the intonation for three of the four strings needed slight adjustment at the bridge. The truss rod also needed to be tightened about a half turn. The action is low allowing ease of play. One minor nit-pick is that the battery compartment has a cover fastened with screws - not convenient for a quick battery swap. The bass includes a cable, a battery, a manual, and a couple of tools.
