U.S. Power plugs are SUPPOSED to be larger on the left side. IF however someone mistakenly installed a power outlet upside down at a residence you currently occupy, then YES, unfortunately this nightlite must be used upside down. That is not faulty manufacturing, but rather inept electrical wiring of a residence. The item is awesome in it's beauty.

This product arrived today, well packed. It is NOT plastic, but ceramic. Looks realistic. Love it! Will be ordering more for gifts from this seller!

These are well made and cast a soft, diffused light. The polymer they are made of allow for detail and coloration formerly not possible unless the products were made by hand. Besides purchasing several for myself, I have given them to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and they love them because they are beautiful.

Bought this for Christmas for my husband's grandmother for who loves hummingbirds. It was a hit! She loved the quality and the colors of the nightlight and it's been plugged in her bathroom ever since.

When lighted, this looks like a backlit porcelain figurine, not a plastic nightlight. It's very pretty. Puts out quite a lot of light, too, for a little bitty Christmas-bulb.

Bought this for my parents as a bathroom nightlight. They both absolutely love it, declaring it the prettiest little light ever.

While I rarely pay shipping costs for anything ordered online, this came with a shipping cost of 25% of the product price. What I would suggest is that the merchants simply up the price to an even $20 and make the shipping free, or free when you spend X with them. Same money, but makes shoppers feel like we're getting an absolute bargain.

I received it and there is a big mistake of its design! The left power pin is bigger than the right, you can't plug it into a socket on the wall, you must use it head-down.....what a stupid design... Don't use it in the US!
