We didn't know what to expect when ordering these online, and were a little nervous about purchase furniture without seeing it first, and were pleasantly surprised by how nice these are (we ordered four). They are quite sturdy, well-made, and not that difficult to put together. They are also apparently made of ecologically friendly wood that is harvested responsibly.

They need to be assembled, but that's not too difficult if you are at all handy. I would recommend using a hex drill bit for the bolts, rather than using the hex wrench that comes with the chair, as it will dramatically speed up assembly. The directions are not amazing, but will give you enough info. to do the job. The chairs come with little packets of wood glue that you use for a few of the joints, which was a little messy, but not too bad. The glue can be cleaned up with water and a paper towel.
