I need to clarify a situation and don't know how else to do it but posting here. My CD "Icarus" has been picked up by a label, repackaged and reissued with the title, "Deacon Blues" - also available here on Amazon. I've asked to have this page removed, but Amazon won't do that until their "Icarus" inventory hits zero. Of the two, I recommend "Deacon Blues", which comes in a Digipak with a 12-page booklet. Of course you can get either one, but please do not purchase both CDs; They have the same musical content with different packaging. Whatever you decide to do, thanks for your interest. The Hammond organ has never sounded better. The guitar on this disc is awsome. The sound quality on this CD in incredible. Nothing beats smooth jazz with recognizable melodies and attention-grabbing solos. I just love the way this CD sounds. The musicians that perform on Icarus are the best I've heard! If you are in the market for a great CD that is good for any occation, order two copies of Icarus...This CD makes a great gift for anybody who appreciates good music, talent - and good sound quality.

I am a musician, and am very selective about the music I listen to. I have been a fan of Pete Levin for years now, and think that he is a true musical genius. His playing, writing and arranging are applauded by the best musicians in the world, and the list of people he's worked with is just as impressive. This album is a great opus and belongs in every serious jazz listener's library of favorites.

I dont like jazz... but I absolutely love this album. Its sparkly, upbeat, not too 'jazzy' on the ears and I find myself humming along to it while at work; whether that 'work' is typing at the office or doing housework at home. I recommend this to anyone, and if you've decided to give jazz a go.. this is the one to buy first.
