5.0 out of 5 stars Great value and great fun
I have a 4-year old son who is a HUGE fan of all things Ice Age...so buying this for him was a no brainer. Not only does he love seeing some of his cartoon "friends", but also REALLY enjoys the gameplay...It's interactive, educational and requires the use of your memory and focus which is something hard to accomplish with children this young. versus
3.0 out of 5 stars It could be better.
The game was better than I thought it would be, but it could be SOOOOO much better. At least with the other scene-it games there is a mixture of on-screen stuff and board game stuff. With the Ice Age game is 100% on-screen stuff, and it can take forever to play the game because you are waiting for your DVD player to catch up. The use of Rudy is fun. The first time we...

SceneIt? Ice Age DVD game has accomplished that in spades!!! Now we're even more excited to see the new movie when it comes out!!!

I had the opportunity to get a test copy of this game, and played it with my kids. I expected them to like it, since they are big fans of the Ice Age movies, but didn't realize that it would be so much fun for grownups as well. THe little puzzles and video clips are cute and definitely make the overall experience more interactive and dynamic. It's a winner.

My 5 year old son LLOOOVVVEEESSSS this game! It is very easy to understand and play! Good quality... the board is tough just like any other board game you would buy at walmart or fred Meyers... The figures are also durable! Very pleased with this purchase!

My Nieces and Nephew sure had a ball, this was a gift for them for their visits to their grandparents house, ultimately something other than television.

I was lucky to get this game for only $6. My kids are a little too young for this game, but will be great in a year or two. When I opened my box, the first thing I noticed was the quality. Even for the standard price of $20, this was impressive. I am very happy with this game. Even my hubby and I play!

I probably would have been disappointed with this if I had paid anywhere close to full retail. However, at only $5 it was worth every penny. My kids loved it. While it is not as good as Scene it games it was still a fun game to play. Limited mini games.

This game is very entertaining but not too difficult to play. The characters that pop up on TV are just as wonderful as in the movies. Fun for all ages with a good variety of action to be played. Not boring for adults and with help almost any age can play, including the little ones!! The alligator is not too scary, which was one of the concerns I had before purchase. Loved by everyone in the family!

It's a good thing I bought this when it was on-sale because it is not worth the money. We own six of the SceneIt DVD Games and love them all. This game is not like the others - it is simply Mini-Games that you play over and over again which is extremely boring. There are no trivia cards, My Play or All-Play included at all. Some of the cut scenese were cute...the first time through, but they replay those as well. We played it once and I guarantee we won't ever play it again.

My kids (3 & 7) loved this game.... the first 2 times. After that the limited number of different dvd minigames repeats and repeats and repeats and ...... you get the picture. Buy it for $5 if you can, otherwise look for a smarter game.

3.0 out of 5 stars It could be better., January 15, 2010

The game was better than I thought it would be, but it could be SOOOOO much better. At least with the other scene-it games there is a mixture of on-screen stuff and board game stuff. With the Ice Age game is 100% on-screen stuff, and it can take forever to play the game because you are waiting for your DVD player to catch up. The use of Rudy is fun. The first time we played, Rudy was never put into action and the game wasn't as fun, but on our second game we found Rudy in the beginning and it added more fun and strategy to the game. (As strategic as kids under the age of 8 get anyways.)

The only thing you do in this game is play mini games on the DVD, watch a few clips just for fun, and move your pieces on the board. If they had added in clips of the movie WITH questions, or had cards to turn over with questions it would be better. However, as it is, the kids can play by themselves at any age as long as at least one kid can use the DVD remote. We did have a problem with some of the games skipping, even on our 1st time playing it...with no scratches on the DVD. For example, on the musical game, kind of similar to old SIMON Says game, it skipped the part you were suppose to mimic and skipped right to the answer. I had to guess twice and luckily for me there are only 3 choices. Then on the acorns under the shell game, it skipped over the mixing of the shells so you had to guess blindly...actually that made it a little more challenging, since the kids almost always knew where the 3 acorns were, but it was still a little annoying. I only paid $10 for it, and wish I had only paid $5 at most, but oh well.
