In the words of one person I played "Bumblebee" for, the subject sums it up. In the vein of Smile.dk, Miss Papaya, and early Dune, Bambee sings with a voice that gives you dental cavities just by listening to it. Not like that's a bad thing, but combine it to the happy techno background and you have a CD that leaves you airborne. Bambee's music is featured in Dance Dance Revolution Solo 2000, DDR 3rdMix Plus, and DDR 4thMix, giving you an excuse to bounce around in public without drawing attention... ok, maybe just a little.

I heard Bambee's song from Dance Dance Revolution, and I liked it every much, I just had to get Bambee's whole CD, and ended up paying over $... for it, it worth every penny of it. The music is danceable, yeah, if it's not danceable, why Konami choose it from its DDR game? Bambee's voice is happy and clear, very enjoyable. After a hard day of work, when I get home, I usually blast Bambee's music (and other dance cd I have) in full volume through my sound system, grab a cold drink and sit there relax, life is good :)

If you love J-Pop or Euro-Pop you'll love this CD! The lyrics are pretty shallow in most of the songs but the beat is great!!! Since, they're primarily dancing songs!! One of the best tracks on this CD is Wham Bam Boogie, although most of them are just as good...Candy Girl might be one to avoid tho ^.^; This is an awesome CD!!! Definetly Buy it if you're a j-pop or Euro-Pop fan!!

Pretty good cd - if you've listened to the Dance Dance Revolution cds (or played the games) you've probably heard "Typical Tropical". "Typical Tropical", "Amigo", and "Bumblebee" are probably the best songs on the cd... very bouncy, danceable, singer has a good voice.

The lyrics won't give you deep insight to the meaning of life, and the songs follow a pretty set pattern of bouncing and hiccup-like vocals, and "Candy Girl" is a bad ripoff of Aqua, but overall the cd is enjoyable. "Amigo" has some sweet lyrics to the chorus and "Bumblebee" and "Wam Bam Boogie" are just a lot of fun to move around to.

If you enjoy Aqua, Toy Box, and Smile.dk, you'll probably enjoy this cd. Definitely worth picking it up. =)

This CD is all J-Pop so if you don't like J-Pop, don't buy this. Here are the songs and what I think about them:

1.Typical Tropical - Pure dance beat! Very energetic! One of the better songs on this album.

2.Supermodel - Good lyrics, ok beat, not a very good flow.

3.Amigo - Excellent!! This song is possibly the best on this album! Beat off the hook!

4.Wam Bam Boogie - Pretty good song. More of a J-Pop beat. Not for NSYNC fans.

5.Let The Sunshine In - This song will always brighten your day. A standout track.

6.Bumble Bee - Bambee's first hit single. This song went to #1 on the Japanise Top 100. Very J-Popish and more of a dance song.

7.You Are My Dream - Bambee's second hit single. A standout track. Great beat and well written lyrics.

8.Bam Bam Bam - I don't listen to this track that often. More of a chick-chickie song.

9.Baby Baby - Possibly Bambee's third hit single. Very catchy.

10.Il Ritmo Dell Amore - More of a ride-off-fame-of-Amigo song. Some europene lyrics. Not a very good track.

11.Candy Girl (Y2K Edit) - Didn't quite go out with a boom, eh Bambee. This song is possibly her worst. Didn't like it at ALL.

Anyway, this is a very hard to get CD so it's great you can get it on Amazon.com. Straight from Japan, pure J-Pop.

I bought this CD cuz I loved the songs from the DDR soundtracks. All of the songs are just as good/catchy/dancey as the ones I bought it for! If you've heard Bambee's music and you like it and you're thinking about getting this but not sure, buy it! You won't be sorry!

Bambee is a fine example of bubblegum Euro-Dance gone insane! This Nordic-based artist gives us the intense sound of Scandinavian pop, but on steroids. Bambee follows the formula that Smile, Miss Papaya and other Northern European artists, such as Daze, Toy Box and Aqua have perfected. This album is 100% pure perkiness and doesn't stop for nearly an hour. The chessiness of this album maybe too much for many to take, but for true Euro-Dance fans like myself, this is the perfect antithisis to all of that heavy trance that so much dance is based on. The best tracks from "On Ice" are TYPICAL TROPICAL(#1), SUPERMODEL(#2), AMIGO(#3) and BUMBLE BEE(#6). However, the one true stand-out track here is YOU ARE MY DREAM(#7). This song is a sweet, yet upbeat piece of near perfection. The beats and background vocals just melt together to create the best track on the "On Ice" album. This record is a definite must have for all fans of light, happy, Euro-pop.
NOTE ON DECEMBER 20, 2001: For those of you who are already fans of the Bambee sound, keep an eye out for her brand new 2001 album release titles "Fairytales". It is a comparable, if not superior, recording to "On Ice".

It's got the fast beat to dance to and catchy words to sing to. I love this CD!
You should get it!

I just received this CD along with Bambee's second(and much better) album Fairytales from Tower Records Japan.

I really enjoy Bambee's sound and her lighthearted tunes that will instantly have you dancing! However, only a few songs had me dancing and feeling happy whereas every one of Smile.dk's tracks from every single album by them has lifted my spirits and had me dancing all night long.

It's clear than Bambee's most known song is Bumblebee thanks to Konami's Dance Dance Revolution game and it is really the only song that was Smile.dk standards.

The first half of the album is ok but from Bumblebee on(except for the last track) are fantastic tracks!

Bambee is a beautiful artist with great tracks going for her. I can't wait to hear her again if she decides to make a new album.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

As stated above, if you can track down Bambee's Fairytales album do yourself a favor and buy it!! Lightyears ahead of On Ice.
