PreS. Two board books that are nicely sized for young hands. Each one has an uncluttered design in which the text clearly corresponds to the flat, bold pictures, all outlined in black. Cookie Shapes is pleasantly simple, with 10 shapes that include a circle (chocolate chip cookie) and a rectangle (a sugar wafer). In Ice Cream Colors, 10 dishes, cones, dippers, and bars of ice cream are labeled with their colors and flavors. Two year olds who can say stegosaurus or excavator will have no trouble with pistachio (green) or butter pecan (yellow). The colors are well reproduced with little chance of mistaking one for another. All appear on white backgrounds. great board book for toddlers,

We checked out this book from the library; my two-year-old loved it so much that I am buying her a copy. Bright colors are demonstrated in pictures of various frozen treats, which are sure to hold a small child's attention. The book provides opportunity for younger toddlers to learn their colors, and for older toddlers to demonstrate their knowledge of colors.
