Good ice cream cookbook, especially for fruit flavors,
This review is from: Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Cookbook: Enjoy Homemade Ice Creams, Frozen Yogurts, Sorbets, Sherbets, and More (Paperback)
This cookbook has a lot of options. Especially if you're looking for recipes incorporating practically any kind of fruit, there are so many recipes to choose from. There's also a whole chapter on vanilla. I found the best recipes for strawberry ice cream and orange sherbet in this cookbook, after being unsuccessful elsewhere. There are also many healthy options, with many recipes for frozen yogurt and sorbets. If you're looking to expand your repertoire beyond the recipes that came with your ice cream maker, this is a good choice.

This book has many good recipes but the proportions are off sometimes. What should be 2 quarts sometimes ends up becoming 1.

I purchased this book a few weeks ago and really enjoy it! The ice cream recipe especially as I've made it several times. It has such a variety of things one can make. I highly recommend it!

This book is great, especially if you are looking for low fat/non fat techniques in making ice cream and frozen yogurt at home! I love that all the recipes feature the nutritional info, it helps us to weed out the really high fat ones for our personal use, but we still can make the naughty recipes for company! YUMMY!!! We have a cuisinart ice cream maker and all the recipes have worked wonderfully in it! Cuisinart ICE-30BC Pure Indulgence 2-Quart Automatic Frozen Yogurt, Sorbet, and Ice Cream Maker

wonderful ice cream recipes,
This review is from: Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Cookbook: Enjoy Homemade Ice Creams, Frozen Yogurts, Sorbets, Sherbets, and More (Paperback)
I use this book regularly and when friends ask for Ice Cream books, this is my go-to for sure. Bought this one for my niece who just got a machine. particularly love the simple chocolate, and the mint chocolate chip. The tangerine raspberry sorbet is a huge hit with lovers of tart sorbets!

We've tried several recipes from this book, and have enjoyed them all. The manufacturer recipe-book says everything has to be chilled 1-2 hrs before using our machine, but using the recipes from this book means we don't have to wait the additional time. Make sure everything is cold to start with though! If you must heat something (ie eggs or gelatin) per the recipe, do allow it to cool before putting into your machine.
