If you locate this book anywhere, be sure and pick it up. It's a great, enjoyable read. A good mystery, plenty of heart-tugging scenes, lots of hilarious moments, and makes you wish your ice cream man looked like Nick Barnette (I can say ours does not). I can't say how many times I've read this book because I've honestly lost count. I can say since coming across Kathleen Korbel while trying to find a new book to read on my Kindle, I'm already planning on picking up my copy of the Ice Cream Man when I get home tonight instead of my Kindle.
PS: One of my absolute favorite scenes involves Nick and an old lady who carries a brick in her purse. You'll know what I'm talking about when you read this book.
