I was originally looking for an older video featuring Laura Stamm & Bob Gainey, hoping this one would have as much basic instruction. This video spent more time behind the scenes at an ice rink than on "how-to" skate. Fun once or twice, but now it's in the bottom of my son's closet.

Video was well done. Clever mix of instruction, facts, and answers to kids' questions. The fact is, staight instructional videos are too boring to hold kids' attention. Fundamentals are key to this sport-- and this tape has them!

Great! Just what we've been looking for. The other instructional tapes we've seen didn't hold the kids attention. We liked how the video included other informative segments like how ice is made and how it stays frozen. So many questions that are kids ask were answered in this video! Kids loved the Zamboni and skate sharpening machine! The skating instruction was easy to follow -- the close-ups on the feet made it easy for us to mimic in front of the T.V. Hockey player Pete was upbeat and did a great job at holding our attention. We liked seeing real kids skate and fall and LOVED the kids at the end talk about what they like about hockey! The stickhandling and shooting were great basics for beginners. A great video for ANYBODY who wants to learn to skate or play hockey!!!! Finally, a video that the adults don't mind seeing over and over again!

The title of and contents of this video are very misleading. This video is absolutely no value for anyone, regardless of age interested in learning about ice hockey. It shows kids in a learn to play program at their local rink. The little instruction that is provided is awful. This is the worst video anyone can imagine about any sport.

This is a terrific video for little kids who are fascinated by hockey. It goes behind the scenes to show everything from how the rink (under the ice) is painted to how the Zamboni works. It also gives a few pointers on proper skating techniques and equipment. Our 5 year-old hockey fanatic can watch this video over and over.

This video came on DVD or VHS at IceHockeyForKids.com, this site sells it for much less and offers it on DVD. Very good for any new hockey player. It also featured how they make ice, paint the rink, how a Zamboni works featuring Mr. Zamboni, equipment needed to play the game, basic skating skills. The DVD offered unique additional footage such as the USA & Canadian hockey anthems, and other clips not found on the vhs. I thought it was pretty cool, my kid likes it too!

There are so many interesting and funny parts that the kids watch the video over and over. It really keeps their attention.

This video shows kids how easy and fun ice hockey can be. The instructions are a snap for kids to understand! I looked all over for a tape like this but none of the stores carried it! My kids realy love it, especially the slips and falls, they give it their full attention.

Great video to see if you just started playing hockey!Teaches all the basics and is very easy to learn from!I would rate this video 100 stars if I could!
