5.0 out of 5 stars Good Pucks, March 15, 2011

Ok this will be an odd review because I don't play hockey. I like to watch hockey but I couldn't skate to save my life. I actually use these to protect the underside of my cars when I jack them up. In order to protect the pinch weld seam you need to jack directly on the seam. However some cars don't give you a whole lot of options for jack points. I cut a channel in the middle of the puck for the seam to sit and then I can use a jack or lift. So far I've only managed to split(destroy) one of them after a couple years. Since this a common practice with car guys this review will probably help them more than hockey players looking for pucks.

Well, I actually use these pucks to provide a soft cushion between my Corvette and my automotive 2 post lift arms. These pucks keep from scratching the fiberglass under the lift points. They work great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Puck, January 7, 2012

Bought this as a Christmas gift for a relative. It was to be used for automotive jacks. If you put the puck on the jack base it will protect the frame/pinch weld of the vehicle you are jacking up. Not the official use for a hockey puck but it works well for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant puck!, September 10, 2009
This review is from: Ice Hockey Puck 6 Oz (Misc.)
This puck fulfilled every one of my expectations, and believe me, I am not a pushover when it comes to pucks.

This particular example is perfectly round, made of extremely hard rubber and would definitely go very fast if hit on ice with a hockey stick (I'm not a hockey player). As pucks go, this one would.

If you're in the market for a puck, you could hardly do better than buying this example. It is a great value in the puck world.

5.0 out of 5 stars The next Tuscan Milk?, June 1, 2010
This review is from: Ice Hockey Puck 6 Oz (Misc.)

Six ounces of pure menace. One could easily see this being used to spark a riot. It could, in peaceful times, facilitate moving furniture across a hardwood floor.

In more intellectual pursuits, this puck could illustrate mathematical concepts; it is, after all, the most basic of curvilinear geometric shapes. Elsewhere in the natural sciences, one could chart the Vulcanization process--and tangentially, Roman mythology.

Finally, and emphatically, the name *puck* itself may well have its own inspiration in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Product Features claim, "Nice Puck," and believe me, that's an understatement. Everyone should have one. And if one isn't enough, you can buy these by the case, but be forewarned: you will be charged a premium for the convenience!
