Did Linda Howard really write this??,

What has happened to Linda Howard of early years??? I know that there has been much discussion on the forums about whether she is using a ghost writer & I'm forced to agree the more I read of her books of late... This one has just highlighted it.
Also this is one over priced kindle book - it was over before I knew it & left me thinking that it had been edited from its original version, but no it is only about 208 pages long for $14 - come on...I expect this from the Australian publishers (who continue to rip us off with our book prices - hence one of the reasons why I have a kindle). I got the sense through out the book that it was rushed, not well thought out and had to finish within a certain word count. It was a very average read & very disappointing. Nasty price for a very mediocre book..

This story is quite short, 208 pages, and lacks Linda Howards usual, sharp, style. The suspense is non-existent, the romance is tedious, and while I read it I felt that it had been written on command. Did her editor tell her that the publishers wanted another book in three weeks, usual stuff, Couple of bad guys, tough male love interest, and female love interst with all the smart answers. Mix it all up and the readers won't notice that it is less than her usual standard. Not worth even the Kindle price.
