Just like the two reviews above the first time I used this tool I loved it because it just tears trough ice. THe only problem is that the handle is weak. The second time i used it the upper handle snapped, which leaves the scraper useless. I am currently trying to get ahol of the company for a replacement.

I bought this product primarily because of the claims that unlike other products it conforms to the shape of your windshield, thus making for more productive ice removal. Well, don't believe it. At the low temperatures at which you'll be using this product, it doesn't bend much. I found that it doesn't really do any better than any other ice scraper. The relatively soft plastic is also a detriment. If you want a good ice scraper, go for the harder acrylic type. When scraping ice, the harder the better.

It broke the first time I used it. This product is a waste of money.

I appreciated being able to throw my body weight behind the IceDozer. Unfortunately, this item is not very good at removing a thin coating of ice. It just slides over the thin stuff without removing much of it It's great at removing ice that's thick-enough to have an edge that the Dozer can bite into. I ordered this for Christmas. But since we had an ice storm, I got it early. I love it! I was able to clear all of my car windows in a minute. It is alot better that the cheap ice scrapers you get from some promotion from the Bank. The Tenderizer Teeth cut thru the ice and the saw handle grip with the front grip really gave me the leverage to attack the ice. I have read the other reviews and I will watch out for some of the short comings mentioned. So far, the IceDozer Plus has performed very well. Read the Instructions before using so you know what to use when.

I am astounded that anyone finds this item useful. The angle of the grip to the blade LOOKS cool, but works terribly. My "dozer" just scraped right over the ice. Thin ice is even harder to clear.

I'll just scrape by with older style of ice scraper. BTW, I bought three of these. Neither my wife nor my daughter liked the ones I got for them either.

I would NOT recommend this product at all.

Just a note that in the video demo, obviously the ice covered windshield has been warmed up from the inside, as the ice is pushed off in one big sheet on the IceDozer side, which only happens if the defroster has been running for a while. In real life, banging the "teeth" into thin hard ice on a cold car doesn't do much to tenderize it. Works better on side windows where you can lean into the handle over the blade, and push with the other handle, but you can't do that on the windshield and back window, so it's essentially like a regular old ice scraper. Have only had a couple chances to use it this winter, but I am a little disappointed so far.

The Ice Dozer was a little disapointing. The handle could be 4 inches longer and the ice scraper blade isn't any better than the standard ice scraper.

My father-in-law in Boston sent me this report: "Did a real test on the new ice scraper this morning. There was about 1" of snow last night then sleet and freezing rain, so by 7 AM the car had 1/2 inch of ice on the windshield and back window and a good 1/4 inch on the side windows. I started the car, got out the scraper, and in about 5 minutes or less all the windows were clear. A friend used the IceDozer scraper both Monday (1/4" of ice) and again today; he said it worked great."

I read all the reviews and thought I would try it even though there were a lot of bad reviews.

Major complaints:
It is just like a cheap scraper in that it only shaves a small strip of frost off the window and not a massive sweep like it advertises.

Very hard to use. I am 6' tall and tried to use this on a 2007 Camry. So I was plenty tall enough and a Camry is not a big car. I was having to lean up against the car just to get everything. Not user friendly at all.

Minor complaints:
Not very sturdy. Mine didn't break on the first use like other reviewers but it did feel like it could snap at any time. There are a lot of pieces which means a lot of potential for breaking.

Overall:
I am returning this product. It does not perform as advertised. It is almost completely useless.
