As most folks who buy wool know this product barely smells even after wearing it for 3 days with moderate sweating. So, it's perfect as an undershirt! I am planning on using it primarily to keep my cotton/linen/synthetic dress shirts from coming in contact with bacteria found on the skin especially in the warm under arm area.

I found this undershirt/t-shirt very comfy and the curved sides makes it a little fitted but it doesn't totally hug the body though.

First things first: This "white/ivory" shirt is NOT white! Not even close. It is a light yellowish ivory color. It's about the same color as the light desert tan undershirts the United States Army and Air Force are currently wearing. It works well for outdoor activity, but don't think that you're going to wear this as a white T-shirt under an open collar uniform shirt or as a white undershirt. If you keep your color buttoned or wear a necktie, this won't show through a white dress shirt and will do just fine. But it's not white. It's very light ivory/tan/yellow-grey.

Otherwise, it's an awesome shirt. If you aren't familiar with merino wool, you don't know what you're missing. To the hand this feels like super soft brushed cotton. The finespun fabric is not itchy in the least. At all. It out-performs synthetic base-layers (like Under Armour) as it is naturally moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and breathable. Best of all, wool is naturally anti-microbial so it's super odor-resistant.

For those in professions where it matters, wool is also flame-resistant. It will not melt or drip like polyester-synthetic shirts or cotton, so it's authorized (even recommended) for operations outside the wire, or in burning houses.

It's also all natural, so if you care about the environment or "big oil" you can have a clear conscience.

Easy to care for. For the best longevity, hand-wash with Ecover Detergent http://www.amazon.com/Ecover-Natural-Delicate-Wash-Liquid/dp/B0009H03V0 or Woolite in cool water. Rinse cold and crush out excess water (don't wring/twist!). Hangs dry overnight. Or, you can throw it in the washer on a delicate cyle and dry on low-heat for 20-30 min.

Item is pre-shrunk, so it's not going to turn into a kid-size shirt in the dryer, but still, they're sized small... ORDER ONE SIZE UP FROM YOUR USUAL FIT TO ALLOW FOR SLIGHT SHRINKING AND THE GARMENT'S NATURAL ATHLETIC FIT.

It would be a bummer if your expensive awesome comfy shirt was just a bit too small and you couldn't wear it because it fit like a compression shirt and chafed your armpits.

Fit and finish are not quite as neat and clean as Smartwool or Arc'Teryx, but they're pretty good. Far nicer than your traditional big-box store undershirts.

Overall, a great undershirt for a decent price. Recommended for action heroes, athletes and outdoorsmen & -women.

Like all my Icebreaker garments, this shirt has a quality feel. It's comfortable as a layer or as a main T-shirt. Only in southern Utah in the heat did I find it too warm, but my 100% cotton T shirts did not feel comfortable, either. My size is usually between a medium and a large. The large fits well without being too clingy. I think the medium would fit great if you are also in that category and prefer it a bit tighter. Overall length and sleeve length are fine.

I think Merino breathability is actually addictive, I must have about 40 garments (no, not affiliated in any way), Icebreaker lately become more stylish whilst maintain practicality & hopefully timelessness.

Only con: I used to recycle old t-shirts as bike rags. Unsure about wool!

I love these shirts, they're great for traveling and for everyday use. But the white t is more of a gray color than white. I would like to wear it under dress shirts but I want that white t-skirt look and it looks like a dirty gray.

high quality, good fit, nothing can beat wool: does not stink, dries fast, light and warm (WINTER), and cool (summer).
