4.0 out of 5 stars Noir in the Great White North, June 1, 2002

This review is from: Iced: The New Noir Anthology of Cold, Hard Fiction (Paperback)
Iced provides a peek into the dark recesses of the Great White North that have hitherto been passed over for the bright red uniforms of the Mounted Police. But once you get past the tourist shots, Canada shows itself to be just another stretch of property to be found along the mean streets of hardboiled literature. Great read overall. Particularly memorable is "Avenging Miriam" by Peter Sellers and James Powell's contemplative "Winter Hiatus".
