Er ist wieder zurück! (He's back!) Sido's second album, Ich, is a big step up from his previous effort Maske. The themes are much more personal than before, such as success (Goldjunge), life on the streets, him embracing the fact he's a bad example (Schlechtes Vorbild) and even a heartfelt examination of the relationship between him and his son (Ein Teil von mir). That's not without saying that there are a lot of fun tracks here. The beats are excellent and not repetitious, even when some of the themes are. "Ficken" seems to borrow the beat from the main theme song to the James Bond movie "Goldeneye", "Wir haben noch Zeit" from Black Sabbath as well. Overall, this album is a strong showing for one of German's up-and-coming rappers.
