For what amounts to full price you get the same song performed four different ways. But you would be ready for that if you're aware that this is a CD single. And it is by NENA and is an import that I would never have hoped to run across except on Amazon.com. I hope others have a chance to see the film the material comes from. I cannot say that (and the logical thing would be to consider this a souvenir of having viewed the film), but this was truly a valuable disc to have because it is Nena singing a lovely song. First the "radio version" (which is with strings and a little bit of rhythm accompaniment. Then an acoustic accompaniment. An accompaniment with strings in a "classical" version. Then just a string arrangement without Nena. Four stars, but that is not criticism in any way. I wish I had a hundred more Nena discs like this.

Hi there... well, NENA is still alive.. and this is actually one of her most beautiful songs... ever written.. string arrangements... you gotta own this one.. it's really cool... the 99 red balloons are WAY old.. get the latest stuff.... a neat love ballad... if you're into german lyrics... enjoy it :-) peace, SHANTI

By the way, this cd single and songs within it would be perfect for a Valentine's day present, for it is so romantic and the classical instrument version of the song serves as a karaoke version to sing along to.

This is the cd single containing the theme song, sung by Nena, of the German animated film "Tobias Totz und sein Loewe". "Ich umarm' die ganze Welt" is a very wonderful love song and when Nena sings it , the song is nothing short of magnificent! Therefore, I highly recommend this cd single to you, especially to those who are very romantically inclined.
