It is very sturdy from end-to-end, thick blade, tight fittings, attention to details, and high quality workmanship can be seen through this master piece. The Guard is made from steel and has black liquid finish. The scabbard is fully handmade to fit the sword and is painted with black high gloss liquid finish. This is a must have for any Bleach fan. Blade came with a display stand and decorative box. The sword itself is a high carbon steel (1045-1060). Blade is only somewhat sharp but could certainly be sharpened with any sword sharpening kit. The chain on the end of the Tsuka is metal, and even has the last encroachment link from Ichigo's... well you know what happen.

Excellent balance and weight. Tsuba is metal, all fittings are nice and tight.

Anyway, very happy with this product. High amount of detail and full functionality. THE must have for any cosplayer, enthusiast or collector.

Great Sword! it is indeed 1060 steel as advertised. it's not razor sharp, but it is still sharp enough to cut through things...yet safe to the delicate finger for cleaning purposes. don't touch a 1060 steel blade, or keep it sheathed for long periods of time, or you will risk it rusting or leaving marks. they require maintenance and oil periodically. be sure to take care of it, it's a quality product. It's very accurate and all metal, down to the hilt and chain ending in a half-link at the end.

an excellent buy, and a must have for any bleach fan.

First off this is a beautiful sword have no doubt about that. There are only two gripes (and are rather trivial) that I have about it and are the only reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5.

1) "China" is written on the blade in some yellow ink.
2) The use of plastic for the "fuchi" and "kashiri."

As for everything else this is a great sword and definitely worth it. I love this sword it makes a great addition to my meager collection and looks great. As for the "china" and the plastic for the price and surprising quality it's quite easily ignorable.
