Basically this is a strechy, sticky string with a hand on the end. You hold one end and swing it, and the sticky end sticks to stuff (ceilings, walls, windows). It has a gross, sticky, gell texture that appeals to kids. We got it to replace ones lost from a Klutz kit. It picks up fuzz very easily, but generally you can wash it off. Reasonably durable, but I wouldn't give it to a child that still puts things in their mouth. I would not be surprised if it could stain, especially if it were left stuck to something for a long time, but I have not seen it do so.
