I need to listen to my surroundings with out disturbing others while I listen to my music/movies/etc.

These are great for that purpose I can wear them off my ears but still hear the head sets.

Too bad there is not a wireless version of this head set.

Yes the foam cover are weak but any cover can replace them & they do not really need them in any case.

I remember I got these as a Christmas gift. They weren't the exact ones that I wanted but I wasn't and was a little upset... Until I put them on. I fell in love, lol. I had these during high-school so they were perfect for drowning out the teacher, and the sound quality is awesome. They have they're own volume control and if I remember correctly they're own bass and treble control, so if you want loud.. you get loud. I haven't owned a pair of these for awhile, but needless to say I was very upset when my pair stop working (probably my fault but that was years ago and I don't remember) Bottom line.. buy these.
