5.0 out of 5 stars If I can't have New Orleans, please, give me the Neutrinos!!, June 30, 1999

For years New Yorkers have flocked to see this bluesy jazz/swing band perform locally, and now we can conjure them in our own living rooms! This sound is so true to life, don't be surprised if trombonist Todd Londagin appears tap-dancing at your house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Swingin' into the past, January 22, 2000
This review is from: I'd Rather be in New Orleans (Audio CD)
Wonderful, rythmic swing music. Taken straight from the earliest swing recordings, these tracks use the best of the 30's drum, guitar and sax riffs and then expand on them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, But...., April 3, 2001

The music is wonderfully arranged and the musicians are great! I bought the CD immediately upon hearing some of the cuts and was not disappointed. They have a delicious jazzy bluesy swing sound that is rarely reached today. However, I was put off by Ingrid's (the lead singer) pale imitation of Billy Holiday. She sings 99% of her tracks in a very high nasally range which is good for a gimmick but eventually sounds "screechy" cut after cut. On their follow-up album she duets once, I believe, and sounds great in harmony (and why wasn't there more of this?), but as for Ingrid as a stand alone...I can't stand much. Overall though, their jazz blues blend is awesome I really do recommend them.
