when i first saw this i thought it might be the greatest idea on earth. unfortunately, the implimentation leaves a lot to be desired. problem number one is that it can be very difficult to arrange all your devices on the small docking station. a lot of devices don't really fit flat on the dock, causing them to lean/tilt at precarious angles and lose contact with the charger. also arranging three devices to not physically run into each other is kind of a pain. i bought the battery charger tip, which is near useless - my other plug in chargers will charge 4 AAA batteries in about 15 minutes. have fun putting your XBOX 360 game on hold while you wait up to 3 HOURS to charge the controller batteries??!!?? and no matter what it states on the website it DOES NOT charge my ipod touch (and so i would be very suspicious that it would work with an iphone). also, i have contacted customer service by email (no phone number provided) several times and have never recieved a response. yeeaahhh.

Works great! Find this to be one of the better charging stations on the market.
Tips stay in place and no extra parts need to be attached to your device. Works great with my iPod Touch (even with TumiTech case) and my iPod Classic both (contrary to other review). Motorola phone as well. You may need to rearrange the tips in different locations to fit everything on at once but they just pop out so that's easy to do. Alternate tips are also a reasonable price vs. adapters for other systems. The only caveat is that you have to make sure that your item is properly seated on the charging tip. This may require a felt or rubber bumper for leveling ease. Best part is that it only uses one outlet.

Web site stated the i4 would charge an iPad- It will not! On one site an idiot said "he loved how it charged his iPad". No way!! I tried three (3).
Web support is non existent. I have written them twice from the idapt site. No response. Other items charge okay but they should for the price. Look else where for better chargers. J Ayres

I was so excited to give this to my husband for father's day. He has an iphone, a blackberry for work and is always needing charge other things (kindle, camera, etc.) I thought this was going to be wonderful. I had looked at purchasing a power mat but decided against it when I found that each item needed to be placed in a special case. All of our cell phones are in otter boxes. We have two small children and the phones are constantly being thrown, dropped and otherwise abused so the toughest case we can find is necessary. You cannot use this charger for items in an otter box. It was such a disappointment!

Great concept, but some phones have a difficult time staying connected to the tip, due to the cover on the port of the phones. Also, wish there were at least two of the more common type of tips.

Nice idea, rubbish lackluster design and implementation,

I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled to for this product. It's in theory such a simple device. Yet two massive faults with it - when charging mobiles it emits a horrible high pitched hissing noise, loud enough to disturb you even from the other side of the bedroom. This indicates poor circuit design and build. People have reported this to their customer service and have been ignored.
The second fault - you can't make the plugs face the other way, so you are forced to live with whichever direction your phone plugs in. Why do I feel this is such an issue? You can almost achieve it, except the plugs are shaped deliberately so you cant reverse them. It brings in to question the intelligence of a design team and a company selling such uninspired drivel for such a high price. |
